Today I got to meet my blogging friend Joanne from Joanne Moving Forward Half Speed. We met at my usual coffee shop which coincidentally is owned by a friend of her son's. We of course had the small world conversation but then when two of my coffee buddies came in and chatted it turns out their friend and neighbor works with Joanne. If this world was any smaller we would all be living in the same house. I can tell you right now I am not doing the laundry.
We had a great visit and chatted for 2 1/2 hours. You get a feeling about the people you blog with and you know what. She is just how she seemed on her site. Funny, friendly and fabulous. And even better...she wasn't scared off by my crazy friends.

So, are you just like you seem on your blog?
ReplyDeleteAm I?
How great for you to get to meet a fellow blogger. I would love to do that, maybe someday I will find a fellow blogger who lives close by.
ReplyDeleteI used to have lunch with friends the last Sunday of every month. We would meet about noon and sometimes they were sitting up for dinner and we'd still be there but it never seemed like it was that l-o-n-g! We moved out of state and I still miss our Sunday lunches.
ReplyDeleteLove it, Lori!! Vancouver isn't exactly small!! I know in my heart if I were to meet any number of my blogger friends, they would be very much much like I thought they would be (does that make sense?). Other than what they look like (if you hadn't seen a photo). I think our personalities come across loud and clear on our blogs.
ReplyDeleteAnd I am giving you fair warning, when I come to visit my BIL & SIL in Vancouver soon, WE are going to get together at your coffee shop!! Sound good??
xoxo
Jane
Aww Lori it was lovely meeting you -- loved your friends and just felt so comfortable. Like we had known each other for a very long time.
ReplyDeleteI didn't say it at the time but honestly the fact that I knew the work person is rather amazing. There is over 500 admin staff and I know only a small percentage - so really its doubly amazing that I knew "S".
Jane I hope you get a chance to enjoy Lori (who is also fun, friendly and fabulous)and her wonderful coffee place. What a special group of friends you have in your life - such a treasure.
What fun for you guys - cool that you live so handy to each other.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely that you have been able to meet up with a blogging friend - all of mine seem to be scattered across the four corners of the world - It would be lovely to be able to meet up if they are in the UK x
ReplyDeleteThis is when I feel the Atlantic Ocean's expanse, underlining the distance between me and my fellow bloggers of the continetal US and Canada...
ReplyDeletePoo...
Lola xx
oh wow! what a small world!
ReplyDeleteIt really is a small world, and getting smaller every day.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a really good time and made a new coffee buddy.
I'm about equally close from Atlanta or Birmingham...either way, too far for me to go have coffee.
I did grab something off the internet yesterday about a woman who lives just a couple miles or LESS from me. {Jobs: Is Working Online At Home The Next Gold Rush?}
I had clicked on it because it said this woman was making $5500.00 a month...I thought I'd just look....imagine my surprise...just one thing, well they don't SAY that is her picture or that it is really taken IN said po-dunk village...funny thing...I can't seem to find anyone that can verify this woman exists. Google should be more careful how po-dunk a town they use next time.
