My BB guy and I were going to have this dinner Wednesday night but he was so busy at work we had to put it off until Thursday. The economy seems to be picking up around here. Woo hoo.
I started with some halibut pieces from Bruce's Market which I wrote about here when I visited another time. I like my halibut simple. A smidgen of olive oil, salt and pepper and some Bronze Fennel from my garden.
Needed some tartar sauce. I never have it in the fridge but if you mix mayonnaise with some green pickle relish, dill and paprika you basically have tartar sauce.
I love halibut. I only wish that when my BB guy caught his halibut (click here)the fishing camp sent us down the right fish. Unfortunately we ended up with blah pink salmon that was tasteless. He was a guest of someone else so he didn't make a fuss about it. He is more polite than I am.
