PARENTAL FAIL

Am I naive? Am I missing something? Do parents actually allow their children to dress up as hookers and pimps for Halloween? 

 Don't they know that the average age for young girls turning tricks for the first time is between 12 and 14 years old? 

How on earth can they normalize something like this? How can they make it seem like it is no big deal?

Hand in your parent cards right now if you allow this. If you think it is no big deal your parent card is now invalid and you must retest before you are allowed to be a parent again. We will arrange for wolves to raise your children in the meantime until you can pass 

your parents test. 

It is not cute. It is not funny. It is not a costume. Grow up and be a parent and say no. 

Your parent card should be earned and not taken for granted. You are tested every day and you need to get a backbone and teach your children what is right and wrong. You should not get a pass just because you managed to provide sperm or eggs to make a child.

STUPID SURGICAL CHOICES

Many people get cosmetic surgery done. It can vary from a bit of a lift to total recreation of their bodies.

There are different types of cosmetic surgeries. Some cosmetic surgery is really a great thing. It helps people with burns, breast reconstruction or many other legitimate reasons. I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT THIS KIND OF SURGERY.

I am talking about the kind that is basically for sh#ts and giggles.

Sagging? No problem, they can tighten it up.

Bagging? They can suck that fat right out and inject it into your lips for that hideous big lip look. Ladies that is not sexy it is gross.

Not enough boobs? Pick a new size…EEE not recommended unless it is needed for your job as a porn star or stripper.

Already have the EEEs? They can relieve you of that extra boobage. Maybe they can use it to pad your rear like some people want. Good grief who wants a bigger ass.

Relatively speaking even though there are things that can go wrong with any of these procedures for the most part if they fail you can cover up the problem.

Well…not in Michael Jackson’s case but generally speaking you can.

There is something out there that I have never heard of before. Did you know that people are getting iris implants? You know the coloured part of your eyes. Brown, blue, hazel, green? People actually get their own irises removed and someone else’s attached so that they can have a different eye colour.

Why not wear coloured contact lenses instead?  Well of course there are problems happening and people are losing their eyesight. What are you nuts? What a stupid chance to take. It is not like you are going to have your ass implants removed when they cause problems and you might have some scarring.

These are your eyes people. What part of your brain is missing here that you don’t know that it is far too risky a thing to do.

WHAT WERE THE PARENTS THINKING?

There is a video clip of a dance troupe who are performing Beyonce's song Single Ladies. You can see it HERE on Anderson Cooper, CNN.  They are really good dancers. They have worked hard to learn this routine I am sure. There were probably many rehearsals. I am sure many of their parents were involved in the process. Involved in the costumes. So here is my question...

WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING?

These little girls are 7 years old and they are gyrating in skimpy costumes. This has been filmed and put on YouTube.  I am just stunned that none of the parents put a stop to this. 

Hip Hop dancing is a great style and can be age appropriate. There are many songs they could have chosen that would not be so sexual.

ON THE INTERNET. 

Now I know I have put up a link for you to see this. I could have put the actual YouTube clip on here but chose not to but thought you could see it at CNN's site along with the conversation that goes with this issue.What is your opinion on this? Have you ever come across a situation that required you to step in and put a stop to it? Have you ever pulled your kids out of something because of the inappropriate things going on?

TAKE YOUR KID TO WORK DAY

 

Oh dear. The voice of a child directing air traffic in the tower. Speaking to pilots and giving instructions. Oh dear. Did he do a fine job? Wasn't his parent right there? That is not the issue. The issue is that a child was allowed to give instructions in an air traffic control tower. 

Let me ask you this. What if your doctor wanted to let their kid see how a pap test was done? How about that lump on your breast. How about surgery? Here, hold this clamp.

 I took my eldest son to work with me before, years ago when he was about 6 years old,  at our own company. He sat on the floor and put invoices in numerical order. He was really good at it. I know this because I had to check them all of course. Worst case scenario...one was out of order and we would have had to look for it for a while. 

My husband took our youngest son to work with him too. This is a standard grade 9 high school day. He knows what my husband does and didn't want to hang around with him so they put him to work in the shop and he lugged stuff around and cleaned up.

I think it is very poor judgment to have a child of such an obvious young age directing airplanes full of people around the sky telling them what runway to use etc.
