TELL ME YOUR BEST IDEAS
It is time to get ready for the better weather. Time to throw open the windows and air out our homes..okay I know some of you still have blowing winds and snow. Time to clean out those closets, shine up the windows and pressure wash the patios.
So here is my request. TELL ME YOUR BEST IDEAS for Spring cleaning. What is on your must do Spring list?

I’M GONNA MISS YOU IF YOU GO
I have been hearing about how those of you who do not have Blogger blogs will no longer have your Google Friend Connect widgets.
This is a move to get all of you to join Google + from what I hear.
Am I wrong? Who knows what is going on.
I have a Google + ID but I don’t use it. Circles and circles of people and I don’t know what to do with them on there. What is it for?
I have added a Linky followers widget to my sidebar for those of you who may not have the Google one any more. Jump on there to follow my blog so I can follow you back. I would hate to miss out on your blogs if you disappear from my blog list.

TWO THUMBS UP….
A little medical info here. Each part of the body has its own nerve cell area in the brain. It is like a map. These areas can be measured for things like reaction time.
For instance the thumb and the baby finger have a quicker response time and the fingers in the middle are somewhat inhibited by the “crossfire” of the two outer fingers.
Scientists used an image on a monitor that represented all 10 fingers. The subjects had to press the corresponding keys to what was being marked on the image. The outside fingers were the fastest, the middle finger the slowest.
I think they did not do their research properly because I am pretty sure that I can get my middle finger up much quicker than my pinky, especially in a driving simulation test.

JUST AN OBSERVATION
I had recently switched from embedded comments to comments with a pop-up window because I had read that people had trouble commenting on the embedded ones since the reply to comment update came into play.
From the moment I switched I started getting spam comments. I used to get maybe one every 8 months or so and suddenly I was getting 5-8 per day, every day.
I get an email notification for every comment left so I knew they were coming in but luckily the Spam detector worked and they were all caught and not posted. I don’t use word verification and never will (hopefully).
Now yesterday I switched back to the embedded comments and today…..no spam….none. Coincidence? Maybe. Might be too soon to tell. I really want to keep anonymous comments available because lots of my readers are not bloggers and they don’t have any other way of leaving a comment.
I’ll keep you posted. Maybe you can let me know if you can comment and also if you get lots of spam. Do you have embedded comments or pop-ups?

EVERYBODY DANCE NOW
How many of you grew up watching Soul Train or American Bandstand?
Did you race home from school to catch the “cool” kids bustin’ a move to the latest hot bands?
Did you practice those moves until you could boogie with the best of them? Did you wish you were doing the Soul Train Boogie Walk?
WERE YOU EVER ON ONE OF THOSE SHOWS YOURSELF? My brother in law was on Bandstand once. I wish I had a video of that one.
One of my favourite TV shows that was on from 2002 to 2005 was American Dreams where the main character, a young girl played by Brittany Snow, used to go to Bandstand every day after school. The music for Bandstand was recreated using current bands portraying the originals. The soundtrack was fabulous. This show was also a great history lesson for us showing what the race riots were all about. I was very sad to see it go.
So what are your Bandstand or Soul Train memories? The host of Soul Train, Don Cornelius, sadly shot himself last night at the age of 75.
