Not this year. I don’t know what has happened but they are dropping like flies around here. Well they are dropping anyways.
First of all I pulled out a box with some lovely Carollers that were a gift from one of my sisters several years ago.
I have no idea what happened to them. Three of them have been decapitated and one has been hobbled.
What is even more strange is that there are only 2 heads. That is just weird. I don’t know when they fell or where.
Next when my eldest son stopped in for a visit he bumped my NOEL figurines that were on the window ledge.
Lastly, at least I hope it is lastly, my poor little reindeer took a tumble when my younger son opened the kitchen window.
Fingers crossed we will have no more casualties this year. And Jodie Foster…if you are reading this….I loved your movie Nel(l).
Seems that happens some years... kinda funny about the missing head, bet it shows up somewhere weird:@)
ReplyDeleteYikes....you are having some Christmas casualties and a few! Bring out the old hot glue gun, that is always the solution for broken this around my home. Diane
ReplyDeleteLooks like you need to sit up a holiday urgent care. So disappointing. I blame my accidents on the cat lurking around the basement, where all the boxes are. I went down there one day and he had opened the Halloween stuff and was sleeping in the witch's hat.
ReplyDeleteSet, Set Set! SO sorry!
ReplyDeleteYou have had a few casualties....but here's hoping that the end of the casualty war for Lori's collectibles has passed.
ReplyDeleteI was at the setting of where "Nell" was filmed. I love that part of our country, and I, too, loved that movie. I have watched it many many times....
Love,
J.
Yesterday I spent over an hour looking for an angel I thought I bought as a Christmas tree topper last year. It wasn't until I looked at pictures from last year's tree that I realized that I must have dreamed that I bought an angel. No such angel exists. What's up with that?
ReplyDeleteAww...so sad! Here's hoping this is the end!
ReplyDeleteMy adult son is far more dangerous to his surroundings than he was when he was a toddler. Did you find the head yet? That's some weird voodoo there!
ReplyDeleteAwwww a Christmas Boo Boo. Not a good thing, when it's something that you cherish. Wonder if the ghost of Christmas past is haunting your storage areas.

Oops…ouch, may the rest of the season be safe for all your breakables. I wonder if they make Nerf ornaments?
ReplyDeleteYou can tell we both have the same twisted mind because I was thinking about Nel(l) too. LOL!
ReplyDeleteGet out yer glue! I always just reglue stuff cuz I can't bear to throw it out. I have a nativity where Jospeh and Mary have both lost a limb...
I keep the Crazy Glue handy at all times.
ReplyDeleteHi, Lori. Thanks for commenting on my gingerbread house and the heads up that it gets really, really hard...I guess gingerbread is pretty hard anyway. Please don't leave us hanging...the suspense of how those carolers were beheaded must be driving you (and is me) nuts!! Stay in doors...your mishaps are way too many! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is so sad, and kind of funny! What a great blog post. Thanks for sharing. My son, now 13, has a terrible reputation of a snow globe breaker. Up until last year, he broke a snow globe every year. Now he just picks them up to freak us all out.
ReplyDeleteWell, at least the caroler is still singing! Lol.
ReplyDeleteyou know what they say, "you have to break some eggs...." hopefully the rest will be safe :)
ReplyDeleteOh nooooo! I hope you find the head! Can you repair them?
ReplyDeleteHope you are ready for the big day! :). I am not!
Oh, bless your heart. I know you cried a little with each one.
