What do most artistic people have in common? They have the ability to see what can be. They can chip away at a piece of wood or stone and see the hidden statue inside of it.

They can take the colours of the rainbow and blend them together to create a painting of sunsets or faces that rival a photograph.

They can take strands of wool and weave them into a piece of clothing or a wall hanging with patterns of unbelievable complexity.

Or they can take the left over, waste or junk from a pile of metal and create the fellows below. These are on the fence at our cabin. They are just so cute. Unfortunately every once in a while we find one of them mounting the other because men never grow up and all they think of is sex.
Now you know just one more reason why I rarely go up to the cabin and when I do it is with a group of women. At least we know how to behave. Snort.

I have letters that stand up individually to say "bloom"..My adult sons rearranged them. The M got turned upside down, and an O went missing. I never noticed it until friends over lunch pointed it out. Very artistic.

Are they moose? I don't know the plural for moose, is it mooses? Or mice harhar? They're fabulous, I love them. You're very lucky to have a wilderness retreat though it sounds like you don't go often. What a pity.

I LOVE THOSE! I am such a sucker for quirky little animal figures - especially the kind made out of odd stuff. Did yall make those?? If not, where in the heck did you get them??

Love this post too! Too darn funny!!

Someone did that to our outdoor Christmas reindeer!!My bet was that it wasn't a girl that did it.!!

Lori,

I'm not quick on the take...I can be very blonde that way. Now I am cracking up. Our carpenter loves to carve and shape rocks and stones. On the stone wall at our lake we have a perfect rendition of a womans's bum. And it's er...anatomically correct. Luckily, it's easy to miss and we certainly don't point it out! LOL!!

Love this post! And I think going to the cabin is probably a lot more fun with just the girls!

They are just too cute. And I loved your comment about men. So true. Mine would have done the same thing with them.

Cute! My brother used to take our neighbor's large reindeer Christmas decorations and have them mounting each other every year. It was too funny because we lived by a busy road and they had spot lights on them.

Ha ha ha. Good times. ;)
