THREE OR MORE TUESDAY: FRIEND OR FOWL

ONE, TWO, THREE, FOUR
WHO DO WE ADORE
TAM, TAM
FIVE, SIX, SEVEN, EIGHT
WHO DO WE APPRECIATE
TAM, TAM.
Of course we do cause Tam@ The Gypsy's Corner is hosting 3 or More Tuesday once again. Drop in there to see all the participants. Make sure to leave a comment.

I am one of those people who have a thing for the barnyard. Mostly roosters and chickens. Here are just some of my collection. I definately have more than 3 but have only put a few on here today.

Above my kitchen window I have these little hens.
Don't look at the pushpins or the cobwebs.
I am too short to reach up there to dust.

This bucket would qualify twice because it is part of
this larger theme but it is also one of 3 different sized
buckets with the same picture on it.
Way on top of my armoire I have two twisted metal
roosters that are filled with twigs. Very rustic.
I wanted to move them so you could see them better
but the old ladder would have had to come out again
and I am far too lazy for that. Sorry.
This fellow looks into my dining room from the end
row of cabinets in the kitchen. He has a mate that is
looking down on him from the higher shelf. Saving her
for another day too.

I really don't have any wall space in my kitchen. It is all
cupboards. This fella hangs right by a doorway which is
truly about all there is for walls. Although he has a hook
I don't hang anything from him. Just for cuteness.

Well that is a bit of my fowl friends. I will show the others some other time. I have to tease you guys a little bit.

Oh, these are fabulous. A long time ago..a couple years, i think..we had a ROOSTER PARADE..Beverly at How sweet The Sound hosted it..It was so so much fun...we had roosters coming in from all over the world and I think the parade lasted all week long. So fun...might be time to do that again.

You know, I've been doing this blogging for only a couple months now and ME, who doesn't even cook anymore am seriously thinking of putting some little thing on Foodie Friday!!!! Also I am really starting to like kitchens decorated with roosters! Now, this just isn't me; something weird is happening! I played around a little with tablescaping on holidays in the past but now I am obsessed with finding dishes. I'm supposed to be simplifying!!!! I would've bought a dining room set at a garage sale last Thurs. if I had had a truck!!!! Oh MY!!!!!!

Lori, I like all your roosters but my favorite is the one sitting on the hutch with green, orange and yellow colors. I like the plates in the same colors too...Christine

Lori,

I like your rooster collection. I have one large colorful rooster that sits on my counter. Like you I have no wall space. And I can't really have a collection of anything in my kitchen because it is the ground zero of my home. I just make neat piles of everyone's non~kitchen related items everday!

Happy TOMT, Lori!!

Wow, I used to have the same wire rooster, Lucy. I like them all. Roosters are the French symbol of virility. I guess that it explains it, but I don't know what exactly.

One of my students this year was from Portugal and as part of her project she wrote about the Portuguese symbol of the rooster. Who knew!!!

I love roosters!! I have a collection as well. I just a new rooster for my collection this past weekend on clearance at JoAnn Fabric of all places. I need to show off my collection sometime. That is what I love about this meme, it reminds us of our collections. We sometimes forget because we see our items all the time.

Hi Lori!

I'm a collector of roosters & hens too! You have some beauties there. May I also say that the title of your blog is one of the best I've seen yet!

Have a great Tuesday,
Chris

My husband had one rule when we got married. No chickens. Ugh. That didn't last long. I found an awesome chicken weathervane that I now have in my kitchen.

I'm getting me a real chicken one day. Home owners association rules are over-rated.

I'd have a whole house of chicken stuff if I had my way!
