My coffee buddy Lindsay came by tonight to slice onions. Yup. About 15 of them. Yup my eyes are still burning. She needed them for a charity barbecue on Friday. I have a big electric slicer so it made quick work of the sulfuric slices. My nose and eyes were running like Niagra Falls...the Canadian side.

I figured we might as well have dinner too. Grilled chicken breasts that marinated in orange, lime and garlic. Potato salad with too much dressing but yummy radishes, pickles and green onions in it. The table cloth was a $5 find at the Capitol Iron store I was at last week.

I thought it was too warm for vegetables so we had a fruit plate with strawberries, cherries and an angels kiss in spring...no wait that is a song, watermelon, cantoloupe and grapes. She brought a delicious Malbec from Argentina. Eventually we brought out the laptop and listened to and searched for great oldies music. We have decided that our coffee group barbecue will have a music themed game. We can't play ourselves because we know all the answers already.

Well it is midnight here and I get up at six a.m. so I hope you enjoyed the Foodie Friday visit I had with my friend Lindsay. Good night.
Beautiful table cloth! Hope you have a wonderful 4th of July!

ReplyDeleteRadishes in potato salad is a new one on me, but I love them so I might have to give this a try. You ARE a good friend--helping slice onions and serving dinner too!
