In the interests of being organized and up to date a lot of us bloggers create our posts the day before and have them ready to go for the morning. Consequently I am always out of whack in my head (hey...be nice) when it comes to what day it really is.
So if I am right and today is Wednesday head on over to Susan's and check out all the other participants too.
This is the third installment of the my trip to Erickson's Daylily Farm in Langley, B.C. I sure took a lot of pictures that day.
Behind this hedge is the growing garden and even though it is not the "pretty" sister i.e. the house garden it is still beautiful.
Wouldn't this be a nice place to take your lunch break during a day of planting and digging and weeding? I am surprised I don't see Keetha's bears here. They have been everywhere else this summer.
This maple tree was so unusual. At first I thought it had a white mold all over it and was sick but on closer inspection I saw the white and pink mottled leaves. It was glowing in the sunlight.
O, my, what lovely things you have for us today.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed seeing every one of them....Thanks for sharing.
Lot's of gardening eye candy here. I love the tall grass (I am experimenting with ornamental grass). This looks like a fantastic place to visit and I know I would be clicking away with my camera too.
ReplyDeleteI visited a daylily farm years ago and was amazed to find out the plants have names, just like roses...wow!
Happy Outdoor Wednesday!!

Lori, what I wouldn't give to have a garden like this one! It is truly gorgeous. I love the ornamental grasses and the throat of that lily. And the maple tree really is lovely in that color. What a fun place to visit and to enjoy. It's so muggy here today that I'm holed up inside in the AC. Hope you're out and about...
ReplyDeleteHappy Outdoor Wednesday...
XO,
Sheila :-)
The maple tree is beautiful but the grasses are so inticing. Everything there looks so peaceful. Just a wonderful place to sit a spell and take in all that God has truly created around you. The lillies are so gorgeous. I would love to visit this place someday. Thanks for sharing. Please stop by and say hi. Country hugs, Sherry
ReplyDeleteGreat garden! I planted tall grasses in portions of our yard. The birds love it and it offers privacy from prying eyes, when they want to feed in peace! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful garden! I am ready for lunch and it looks like a beautiful place. We have had so much rain here in Missouri that I am afraid some of our things are going to get too much water. Imagine that in July. Thanks for visitng me and thanks for sharing.
