Foodie Friday is a great way to end the week. It give us time to find some delicious recipes to make over the weekend. Designs by Gollum is the hostess as usual. When ever I go to her site the beautiful banner at the top makes me happy. So pretty.
Remember to leave a comment here before heading off to who knows where to ogle who knows what on their Foodie Friday Post. And of course visit Gollum who is our host.
My Friday contribution is my best creation yet. This complete dinner is the most elegant and most requested meal I have ever created. It only comes out for special occasions and I work on it days in advance to have everything just so for the meal.
The canapes are pretty easy to do but you have to have them ready on trays to go into the oven and then served immediately. They are not to hang around on a plate...and they won't they are so yummy.
This salad is collected from the wilds and is the freshest tasting greens you will ever have. The blackberries are echoed in the vinaigrette dressing. All local and organic.
You will never have had a potato that tastes like this one. People will beg you to tell them your secret ingredients but you won't tell or else. It is simple really but no one ever guesses it.
The main meat course will melt in your mouth with such a succulent juiciness it will ruin you for all others. This takes preparations a couple of days ahead but it will be worth it. Make lots because even the light eaters will pick away at any crumb of it left on the platter.
The vegetables for this meal are all our favorites cooked tender crisp with a wonderful light sauce topping. The fancy cuts and shapes take practice but as you can see it is so worth it.
The dessert comes from a recipe from the finest shop in town. The pastry chef is not very good at sharing but he had a thing for my friend and gave out the recipe to try and gain favour. You will never see this in print anywhere else. He keeps it in his head. The ingredients are not cheap but you will not be disappointed.
Well have a look at this amazing spread of food before my guests get at it. I will post the recipes at the end.

Oh you.....this was cute! ~ Robyn

I LOVE that bear photo!!! Where in the world did you get it??? Did you TAKE it yourself?
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful bear, looks like he is posing for the camera.
ReplyDeleteA few years ago when we lived on 100 acres in the middle of nowhere, I heard something on my back porch and decided I was going to scare that racoon away once and for all.....well when I opened up the sliding door, a bear looked at me and ran one way....I looked at him and ran the other way. Kinda funny now...
That was really cute. Yet another indication of how clever you are :-). Have a wonderful weekend.
