"I knew this was where I left my stick"
When the rapid flow of the river slows down in the summer Maxine will spend every moment she can in the water. She is 12 years old but becomes a puppy again as soon as she gets to the cabin. From early in the morning when she first heads outside until she goes to bed still damp at night she is finding rocks and sticks and bugs in the cool clear water.
Many of you know her from her calendar photo "Miss February" in the upcoming
Tulameen 2010 calendar but I think she could have also taken the July spot with this photo.

I love her distinguished gray whiskered snout!!!
ReplyDeleteThat water looks refreshing. I think I'd beat her to the stick! LOL!

Maxine looks so lovable. I had a dog too that just loved the lake. Dove in right up until he was 13 and we had to let him down due to many health problems.
ReplyDeleteNothing like "wet dog" smell!! ;-)

Awww love a dog that loves the water and a good stick. Miss my golden -- good thing the new grandpuppy is so cute and looks like she is going to be a water and stick dog.
ReplyDeleteGreat dog, Lori! She reminds me of my dear departed Orville. I need another dog!!!
ReplyDeleteMs. Calendar Girl Maxine looks so pretty here. Her wiggly tail tells that this lovely river is her world. Maybe bunching up some sticks, rocks and bugs in this cool crisp water is a therapy for her and a form of exercise too! Of course, a Calendar Girl must always stay fit, haha!
