Pajama Weekend
I had the house to myself all weekend and there was nowhere I had to go. I ate when I was ready, I slept when I was ready and listened to loud music while singing out loud. What a great weekend.Pajama Weekend
I have a confession to make. I have been in my pajamas since Friday night and I am not even sick. Now I have taken a showers and put on clean jammies but that is it.
Don't get me wrong. I have been busy. I have made trays of meatballs, carrot cake, banana blueberry cake and I have chicken marinading in the fridge ready for dinner on Monday. I have done 4 loads of laundry and cleaned off my painting table. I have also been working on 3 different family trees.
My crew is home now and there are meatballs simmering in tomato sauce. Icing on the baking and I am still in my jammies. I do however have perfume on. A girl has to dress up a little.
I loooooooooove weekends like that. Thanks for stopping by my blog.

ReplyDeleteOh, how I would love to say this is my kind of weekend but if you know me well at all this is probably my normal attire all week long. Sometimes I love the excuse to get dressed & go out but for the most time I am happy as is.
ReplyDeleteGlad you found out my little secret. Soon it will not only mean weekends!! ;-)

Sounds like my favorite kind of weekend! :-)

What a great weekend. Isn't it nice when you have the house to yourself sometimes. Sounds like you were really busy though. All that cooking and baking and cleaning. Great fun. Thanks for stopping by my Kit. Redo and leaving such kind comments. I really appreciate it. Hugs, Marty

ReplyDeleteSee, that's a perfect weekend to me! I fact, that was my yesterday. Just hung around the house all day doing a bunch of little chores with rain outside and a nice fire inside. Perfect!
ReplyDeleteJammie time sounds just heavenly! I'm so glad that you could take some time for yourself:) My kids were at Grandma's this weekend and I reveled by eating icecream for breakfast, blogging, and watching chick flicks all day long!
ReplyDeleteWell, I can commiserate with you because I've had days when I've stayed in my robe all day long! Often, Mr. Sullivan has come home and asked if I'm tired and ready for bed already... I won't tell if you won't!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the blog visit. Moles seem to be quite prevalent these days- shortage of food, I guess. Too bad they have chosen my yard, though. I have hired a company to help me with my little problem. The guy has a college degree in some scientific field & holds 7 state certifications. He confirmed what I believed- moles are voracious worm eaters and because the yard is lush, I am a prime target. I don't have grubs- the turf has always been fine. My next post will relate what we are doing with his new "critter control" methods. LOL Take care. Sue
I love it!!! When my Husband goes away...I wear pj's and never put on make up....
ReplyDeleteFeels great doesn't it?
Sounds great to me. It has been cold and rainy here this May weekend. Pajamas would be perfect.
ReplyDeleteI think we all secretly like to putter about in our jammies. I have a big fenced yard now, so I don't feel embarrassed whatsoever. The squirrels don't seem to mind one bit! My thing is that I hate putting my bra on. I have a nightgown that looks like a beach pullover, so I can just let those puppies hang free! Ahh freedom.
ReplyDeleteMy Saturday uniform IS jammies. I do, however, draw the line at wearing them to CHURCH on Sunday - - - - at least I've never done that YET.
ReplyDeleteOn Saturdays, when we have no plans, our whole family stays in our pajamas. It is just so cozy to have!
ReplyDeleteI think that's wonderful! I do that every now and then. Especially if the weather is terrible, raining or some such thing. Sounds like you had a wonderful time just being alone with yourself. I get more done when I am home alone than when people are here. Always been like that. OOOOhh..I see you are 15 over your goal. Good for you!

I am really glad I am not alone in my pajama days. I truly enjoy my own company and quite frankly I am a better listener and conversationalist than the rest of my family.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds a little weird doesn't it?
