I tried their advice and it did nothing except for break my email button.
Now I looked at my blog and all my comments are at the top of the post instead of the bottom. Okay I know how to change this. In I go to edit the section and move it back to the bottom but it won't change on the blog. It moves in the editor but not in the actual post. Just sits there.
I do not want comments at the top of my posts. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Who else is having issues? I went back to the old editor but still can't change this.
Bummer Lori - no problems here.
ReplyDeleteNo problems like that but I do always have to play with the pictures - they always show up on the top and I have to cut and paste if I want them elsewhere in the post.
ReplyDeleteLori,
ReplyDeleteIt looks like your comments are doing okay now. I have had my share of problems. Still can't make my pictures click to enlarge, and I always do my pics first and write in between them. Also, if I save a draft, I can't get it back. I can't edit a post after it is published.
Now, I have Blogging for Dummies, so don't tell me the problems lies with me...and I personally do not know anyone who blogs that can check out my computer. Grrrr!

Dang, when I have something go wrong it takes me forever to find out how to fix it.
ReplyDeleteThis is excellent for help:
http://blogging.nitecruzr.net/
It's a blog called The Real Blogger Status
it's been very helpful and I highly suggest you follow so that whatever is "going on" is just a click away.
I have issues like this too - - - but I'm never sure if they are because I CHANGED the settings on there FROM Default to WHAT I wanted, and now sometimes the fonts show up one way and sometimes another - - - usually they are REALLY BIG on things I copy out of HTML from a previous post to repost.
ReplyDeleteAnyway - - - it drives me NUTS and I HATE the variety of sizes of fonts that come out when I hit "post" - - - because it DID NOT look that way BEFORE I hit post.
BUT - - - I've tried everything I know to FIX the issues to no avail - - - so I have FORCED the Monk in me down below the surface and just blog away anyhow!!!!
:-)
Hi Lori
ReplyDeleteeverything looks normal from here. I learned not to play with the fonts. they had a mind of their own. or if I really want to have something smaller I must do it right at the end of the draft when all else is done otherwise the font you change to overrides the original and becomes the default.
Did you know that if you copy anything out of word it can stuff up your blog big time...I had serious problems with that and now run any text through a text doc if I want to copy it but find it much safer to rewrite it out again myself...
Also an imported pic can play with your settings. Put any pics through picassa first...to clean them of their gobbledegook...
I had to go to the blog doctor for this problem once...
Hope it works out ok
Happy days
Lori,
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the info. I'm going to check this out...
Funny how you met Shane, he sounds like a nice man.
Your comments are on the top now. Have you checked out "commenting" on your settings. Duh, Blondie, I'm sure she has. Just throwing that out there.

Hummm, I did a Tombstone Tuesday post list a.m. and had no problem....now I'm sort of worried about my next blog post. My latest is not on blogger....it is my microsoft program....word....it is not spell checking....now that IS a problem for me!
ReplyDeleteLori, These issues and more are precisely why I no longer use Blogger. Live Writer is so much easier to navigate and use. The only downside is that pics will not enlarge to full screen size when clicked on. However, you can post them as large enough to fit within your template. Have you ever given this a try? You could always do a sample post for a test to see if you like it.

I can't solve your problem with the placement of the comments...but I can recommend using Windows Live Writer to write your posts versus using the blogger tool. With Live Writer you can crop pictures, add a watermark, lot more font choices, etc. Here is the link for the download: http://download.live.com/writer

I have the same problem with font sizes changing, not only when I add pix but if I insert links.
ReplyDeleteI also have to mess with the HTML, cuz the editing window ain't touching it.
FRUSTRATING. I know!
Well, there are things good and things bad with the new posting tool but, so far, I'm not excited about it. So far my comments haven't wandered around but sometimes things just won't undo once they've been done. I guess it's up to us to complain so they can fix the bugs.
