My sister was on a trip with her husband and his mother from Ontario to Nova Scotia to visit her brother in law in the navy. Their trip took them through Quebec. They sat down in front of some statues and had their picture taken. She never thought anything of it again until this week, over 40 years later, when she was sent the picture in an email.

The odd thing here is that we didn't know this until a couple of years ago when I discovered our connection and added them into our family tree.
I am so excited about this. I actually had shivers up my spine when I saw the old photo.
I think you should find that statue and have it moved to your yard. Pretty darn mind boggling.

What a neat story. I've heard of family skeletons in the closet but never family statues in the photo box!

One of my dad's cousins wrote a book about the family back in 1963. In the book he said we had come to England with William the Conqueror in 1066. About 20 years later a couple different books were written by different people about the family taking it back to the year 862.
ReplyDeleteThe mystery...how did he know back in 1963?
WOW! That is amazing!~ I too belive it is NOT a co~ink~i~dink!
ReplyDeleteIncredible! I don't believe in coincidence, so this makes my point.
ReplyDeleteWonderful picture too, btw.

That is very very cool - VERY!!!
ReplyDeleteWow - how great is that! I don't know which is more cool - that they took that picture unknowingly all those years ago, or that your sister received it and sent it to you. I can just see you doing the genealogy "happy dance" - and somehow I picture you with a glass of wine in your hand :-)
