(I know you are in there somewhere. Millions and millions of names on microfilm and some are even in order. Thank you to the helpful staff at the Cloverdale Archives.)
I should be able to sleep tonight but maybe not. I may have found the answer to the burning question I had about the multiple names for this woman. She went by different names not just for her surname but her given names too. When I looked at her marriage registration I saw she had been a widow. That would explain it right. MAYBE! Turns out the other surname is also her mother's maiden name. She used her birth name, mother's maiden name and a surname from her second marriage. Could her first husband have had the same name as her mother? Possibly. Do I have more questions than before I went. Absolutely. That is why I love genealogy so much. Excuse me now while I take a nap.
