I love magazines. When my kids were younger it was all I had time to read. Now they are grown and I still look forward to the grocery checkout to see what is new. I don't just read them however. I cut them to pieces and save the recipes. I actually make a lot of them too but some just get shoved in a pile with my good intentions.
On certain days my mouth waters over the recipes that include chocolate. Other times when it is cold and dreary out I can smell in my mind what the steaming bowl of soup or stew will taste like. I have quite a collection.
What happens unfortunately is that the magazines pile up and I don't get the recipes out of there. I have taken baskets full to the cabin thinking I will get them done there but I didn't get very far. A friend was going to come one evening and we were going to share some wine and go through them all. It never happened.
I still buy more magazines. Variations on the same recipes. Add them to the pile.
Oh ya. I forgot to mention. I cut out the garden and decorating ideas too. There is no hope for me.
I know how that is. Now with a computer, I have just as many photos in scrapbooks online too. Then I can't remember where I put that photo, online or in a pile! My daughter just bought a house, so I gave her piles of decor and garden mags. Ha! got rid of some.
