The worst meal ever was cooked by my ex....he fried up some pork chops and instead of using cream of mushroom soup he used cream of celery...uck....and then poured the whole load over plain white rice.....it was by far the worst smelling, tasting and looking thing i ever ate.

The worst meal I have ever had the displeasure of consuming was at a all you can eat sushi bar (don't get me wrong, I could live on certain sushi meals, just not this one) and the menu lacked photos of any of the dishes. So I ordered one I thought sounded okay, but to my surprise, I had ordered three whole herring (and I mean whole...guts and all!). So I managed to consume one without spewing, but there was no way I could eat the other two. However, at this sushi joint if you didn't eat everything you ordered, you were charged full price for each individual item instead of the all you can eat price. So I stuffed the last two fish in my pot of green tea when no one was looking.

My worst meal was a Roast Beef that had been in the oven for 60 minutes for a 3 lb roast wasn't even brown on the outside.

I had a guy friend once who told me he was a connoisseur of Mac and Cheese. He invited me over for dinner one night and served his famous Mac and Cheese. He made 3 different kinds. He wanted me to taste all of his creations and I was eager to, until I tried the first. In one he had added some kind of soup (I think it was a cream of mushroom) and he added some spices. It was the most disgusting colour I had ever seen in my life and the taste made me think I was going to heave right off the bat. I explained to him that I was allergic to cream of anything soups so he didn't make me finish it. The next one at least had a very orange colour to it so you could actually think it was real mac and cheese but it had been simmered in so much milk for such a long time that the almost burnt flavour was through and through. The noodles were so soggy that they fell apart as you were picking them up with the fork. The whole thing could actually have been soup. The last one was mac and cheese with vegetables and an added flavour of different cheeses. It smelled like stinky feet and I could hardly bring the fork close to my nose let alone my mouth. The vegetables that he chose to put into the mac and cheese were frozen peas and carrots that were still cold in the middle and a mix of parmesan cheese and blue cheese. This is a recipe that everyone should at least have a smell of. You will completely understand how this creation never even made it down my throat. It did make it into my mouth but then it was pretty fast to make it to the toilet bowl after that. I didn't really hang out with this guy friend too much after that cause he thought I was crazy. Yeah, okay, so it was me that was crazy for not eating all of his amazing mac and cheese meals!!!!!

You guys are killing me. These are so funny. I should tell you Erin that it serves you right for eating sushi anyways. Yuck.
Linda your friend puts the KRAP in KRAP DINNER.
Rufus take a look at the rare prime rib. I don't know how he can eat it that way. Not me.
Tami how is it that mushroom soup can be good in a dish but cream of celery is so gross? Kinda sticks in your throat I think.

My worst meal was sadly created by myself! I thought it would be fun to make meatloaf for my family with a ltd. edition Heinz green ketchup in honor of Shrek the Movie...
Well, I guess the consistancy wasnt the same becasue when it was done it was a green watery lump of goo! It was revolting. Needless to say we never ate it and I am not sure my family can eat meatloaf to this day!
;D

Eeew. We did a blind taste test on the purple one when my kids were little because the eldest swore they tasted different. Of course I had him try the regular one twice but he assured me that the second one he tasted was different. Ha.

The worst meal I ever had was when some people from our old church invited us over for lunch.

They made some kind of cut up chicken thighs in some bottled sauce. The thighs still had all the fat and various yucky stuff attached. I could barely get through the meal, but had to because I really liked these people and didn't want to offend them by picking at my plate!!

Thought i would add another one since it could easily tie with my first post.....It was a meal sadly made by myself. I had purchased some steaks from a butcher friend of ours and decided to ask him for some marinading tips. He promptly replied with a no fail recipe for a homemade marinade. Simply mix 1 cup each of water, oil and vinegar...and to this add whatever spices appeal to your taste. So i added some garlic, onion powder, seasoning salt and some pepper to taste. After mixing it all together i noticed that the mixture had a very strong vinegar scent, but thought "Oh well once it sits it should tame down". After letting the steak 'stew' in this all day it was time to hit the BBQ. As i pulled them out of the fridge they still smelt like a vat of vinegar...but again thought "oh well... once they cook they should mellow out." My ex didn't seem to notice the smell as he cooked them so i figured all was good. We both sat down to eat out BBQ steak dinner and after the first bite i knew i had done something horribly wrong. I looked over and my ex had already eaten half of his steak. I quietly asked, "how is your steak?. He replied "good and yours?" I answered back...."mine tastes a little funny...kinda like a pickle". I have never seen anyone throw their fork down so fast as he shouted "thank god, i thought it was just mine" Turns out he was only eating it so not to hurt my feelings because i had tried something new.

Nicole, I know what you mean. I pick every bit of fat and guck off of my meat. You are a better woman than me for eating it anyway...see note to Tami below:

Tami I guess you have never had Sourbraughten. This is meat marinated in a vinegar bath and spices for days. I haven't tasted it because it was made with a moose roast that my Mother In Law was given. She tried to tenderize it and make this old hunk of moose meat palatable. I could smell the gameyness of it while it cooked and had to apologize to her for not being able to eat it. I was just about gagging. She still loves me.

Back in May of '71 while visiting Denmark, I had the pleasure of having dinner cooked for me and a friend as it was my 21st birthday. For starters i must inform you that i have NEVER been able to stomach innards, so when i sat down at a table for twelve with a platter full of kidneys i was not impressed. There was a whole kidney for each guest at the table, they were stuffed with creamy spinach that oozed out of the sides...
Following this main course, it looked as though everyone was spooning whipped cream into bowls and sprinkling what looked like shaved chocolate on top, after the first course i was pleased to see something eatable. After following suit, and dove in, to my disgust it turned out to be semi sweet sour cream with Ovaltine topping it off. All the while being polite trying to stomach what i could.....

Look who came in just under the wire. Well at least you can remember what you ate on your 21st birthday. When I read this one I threw up a little in my mouth. Ugh.

My worst meal was in China. We ate in a restaurant with many Chinese VIPs and were served pork balls, Not ground up pork meatballs but real pig balls. When they told us what they were I nearly spewed mine out across the table and , when looking at my husband He hhad what seemed to be 2 adam's apples.
