Remember we are not looking for a professional paper but a story you can share with the same relaxed attitude you show us on your everyday blog posts. We don't grade your paper. So here is the topic for our next Writer's Challenge. You can read the first challenge here and the second one here. You can see what others wrote by clicking on their links at the bottom of those posts.
TEACHERS WHO MADE A DIFFERENCE IN YOUR LIFE
GOOD OR BAD
What teacher made a difference in your life? Was it a positive experience or a negative one? Did they make you even more determined to succeed? Or did they stamp out the spark?
We will present these stories on January 15th. I will put up a Mr. Linky list for you to join in. If you don't know how to use it just email me and I will explain how to link your story up to the list. Pretty simple really.
Don't have a blog but want to join in? You can email me your story and I will post it on here for you.
I'm in on the teacher thing!
ReplyDeleteI have missed my bloggy friends!
This sounds like a great topic and I like that we have longer to work on it! Thanks, Lori!!

What a wonderful topic! My first-grade teacher was such a doll. I loved her sooooo much. I kept telling my mama that I wanted my hair fixed just like hers. Mama had never met my teacher, but she tried, by my description, to fix my blonde curls like my teacher's.
ReplyDeleteOne day, there was a parent-teacher's conference and Mama got to meet my teacher. I think my teacher's name was Mrs. Cochran, but I'm not sure.
When we got home, Mama tried to explain to me that she could not fix my hair the same way as my teacher's because our hair was not the same. I am Caucasion and my beloved teacher was Negro. I was crushed that I could never have hair as beautiful as hers.
That was more than fifty years ago and I still love that teacher soooo much, though I have not seen her since first-grade. ~ Just Joany

I look forward to reading every one story.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great subject Lori. I'll have to start thinking now, I've had a couple of each types lol. And isn't the Triple D cookbook great? You've GOT to try the Captain Crunch French Toast, it's to die for! Glad you had a great Christmas, we did too. It's hard to believe all that prep and it's over so soon! Kathy
ReplyDeleteI will look forward to it, Lori!
ReplyDeleteI'm in! Great topic! I looked up one of my high school teachers so I could tell him how much he had helped me in college. I felt so good being able to tell him that!
