    Beautiful owls. They are so popular right now! We used to have a family in our tree for several years but they are gone now. Thanks for sharing. --Delores

    What a beautiful slideshow. I love owls, they are fascinating. We have several in the area and I love to hear them at night. My favorite is the "camo" owl in the hole in the tree - if his eyes weren't open you would have never seen him. What great photos! Kathy

    Love it Lori ! Owls are the coolest ! I wanna go look again....
    I haven't done the Simpson thing yet ,cuz the darn thing wouldn't let me register...I will try again - I did play around though...gave me square glasses and pink hair and a t-shirt with a donut (I like donuts like Homer !)

    Very nice owls. There is something about that bird that appeals to everyone. I think it is the big eyes.

    We have a neighborhood Great Horned Owl who watches the teeny dogs next door. We hear him calling at night in our yard.

    A friend found another Great Horned that had been killed by an Eastern Diamondback rattlesnake. That snake went on to kill his horse. It struck the foal between the eyes when the horse lowered his head to check it out.

    What can I say? I live in a predatory place. Ask the folks at the local swinging seniors club.

    How did you know I am an owl freak? It is my dream to hold one someday (with a big heavy glove on). I saw one in the daylight at the lake once. I think he may have swooped down for a chipmunk. Just gorgeous. Love your pictures. And George...well I will have a smile on my face all day!! :-)

    Mother collected owls and owl things...

    Out hunting with my dad when I was about 10 years old and was swooped on by a huge owl... sort of like your picture number three...

    except when it's coming right for ya... they are Big, really B-I-G!
