Holy Cow! I guess I should quite griping about 40 degrees and rainy! How do these people even function, they are hardier souls than I. But the cat in the hat has to be one of the cutest things I've seen in a long time. Thanks Lori! Kathy
ReplyDeleteWhoa, baby! Too much white stuff for me.... So you dig your car out, but where are you gonna go? LOL The beauty of the glistening snow and ice is magnificent. But then it always turns black and dirty. That is when I wish for spring and summer! We haven't been hit with bad storms yet. I think Jan. will be our bad month.
ReplyDeleteHere is wishing you a wonderful new year, Lori. I have SO enjoyed meeting you and becoming a friend. Only wish you were next door- we could have us some fun! hugs, Sue
Brrrr, the photos were fantastic - felt sorry for that poor horse in the icy water!
ReplyDeleteSome were very beautiful also - I especially like the very first one! Reminds me of our area..
Those are some amazing winter shots for sure. It would be so cool to be able to capture scenes like these.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
Brrrr…………shoot! Lovely to look at, wouldn't want to be there. Though the one of the monkeys reminded me of how me and my boyfriend looked in the hot springs at Jackson Hole, Wyoming one year, lol.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Lori!
Snow is beautiful, falling. Once it starts to melt or just stay there, frozen, for days on end...I AM DONE WITH IT.!! I wanted a White Christmas for all my grands but if I had my choice of White Christmas or NO....it would be NO!! :O).....However, the moisture from it all is much needed out here in West Texas and I am thankful for it.
ReplyDeleteBrrrrr...gotta go get by the fire.
Now, that is just way too much snow. I would have to move. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHappy New years to you and yours!
Wow... I have enjoyed looking at all of these snow and ice pictures...I have never seen such sights...have a "happy new year"...hugs, Baba
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
ReplyDeleteI like them! Winter has it's own beauty.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year everyone!
Lovely images, the race after the horse looked real fun. Thanks for the visit and best wishes.
ReplyDeleteIt is a cold winter! I love your picture....but it makes me colder!
ReplyDeleteToo cold for me! I can't hardly stand it where I am (central Indiana). Sure liked that kitty with the hat. =)
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my Outdoor Wednesday post. To answer your question (how deep is the snow?) - that's not snow. Those trees are in a lake that has frozen over. That's a light dusting of snow (about an inch) that has drifted and swirled over the top of the ice.
Wow! Those are some amazing shots! Looks like Grandma and Grandpa got a little more than they bargained for on that sleigh ride. The one with the umbrella man is very striking! I love them all because I love snow!! All the best to you in 2010! Have a Happy New Year! Sherri : )
ReplyDeleteBring on the sleds, ski's & ass taboggins!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for my warm hug! I needed it more than you know.
Tammy
Wow, those are great! I am so glad we don't have alllll that snow. I enjoyed seeing them. Thanks for the treat! happy new year!
ReplyDeleteBRRR, I am now convinced that warm, lack of seasonal change, may not be so bad. LOL.
ReplyDeleteThe pictures had me shivering. Poor people with their cars so buried. Hope no one was inside.
The gecko was so cute.
Thank you for being such a lovely, helpful friend this year.
Wishing you a beautiful and blessed new year to come.
Frances
Oh wow, what a great photo! Such simplicity and such beauty! You did a splendid job keeping it simple. I love the long shadow and the lonely tree. really captures the winder well.
ReplyDelete...I am berried!
