I am joining Mary at Little Red House for Mosaic Monday and
Susan from A Southern Daydreamer for Outdoor Wednesday. These women host us every week and it is really important to support them by visiting and commenting on their sites as well.
This year our spring is springing early. There have been cherry blossoms galore as well as flowering plum trees in full bloom.
These gorgeous flowers blanket the ground with their snowy petals but just like real snow. And they can be just as slippery as real snow. One of my coffee buddies slipped on some of them on the sidewalk a couple of years ago and he hurt his knee quite badly. Make sure you get them off your car before they dry or you will have a really hard time removing them.
But really what is not to love about these amazing, hardy blossoms. After all it means spring is really, really close by.

Oh, but I love them! It is a shame they last for such a short time!
ReplyDeleteAnd to see them here is a breath of Spring..we had a wicked storm last night, the worst in 20 yrs so the power people say!
Oh, such beautiful trees. Love the photos
ReplyDeleteI'd love to walk down that path lined with the cherry trees in bloom - beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHurrah for spring! Lovely blossom images.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photographs!! Happy I stopped in, was a treat!
ReplyDeleteYou have spring like that already? Seems it has been late everywhere due to the cold/snowy winter many of us had. As far as my collage, I used picnik.com/. It's free for much of it, but no more than 4-5 photos at a time. You can do a lot there. Have a good week!

Such gorgeous photos Lori, they definitely bring a smile to my face. That large "weeping" tree, I have no idea what that is but it's stunning. Kathy
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous photos that you posted.....Spring is just around the corner.
ReplyDeleteTo answer you question about me getting my orchids to bloom again, the answer is yes....most of the orchids shown are re-blooms....I've been able to get them to bloom about 6 years in a row.
Wow! Your pictures are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteOh lovely photos - thanks for sharing. I'm waiting for spring - hurry spring - hurry.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pics...I'm soooo ready for spring!
ReplyDeleteLori, I found the bunny window at a antique shop many years ago. The antique dealers said a lady painted them down in FL and she bought them from her. It was about $75, as I recall. I liked how hte checks mimicked the plaid in the chairs.
It is signed Janet Moses, 1998. I just googled Janet Moses in Florida and I think I found her...check this out:

ReplyDeleteWe have a huge cherry tree in the front garden but we are many weeks away from seeing it bloom.
What a great way to start the week.

I'd forgot how beautiful southern B.C. is this time of year when the trees are in full bloom. Still pretty bare bones over here, but it will come.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Were those pictures taken this Spring? Things have not even started blooming here and you are much further North. Wow!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cherry trees. I noticed that there were soft little petals in my yard yesterday morning after a breeze blew them my way.
ReplyDeleteGood morning Lori.....OH DO I LOVE CHERRY TREE BLOSSOMS!! The only problem is, where I live, there are not any within hundreds and hundreds of miles. But, I surely enjoyed looking at yours!!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Jo
Beautiful mosaic of lovely flowers.
ReplyDeleteLori- I have not been visiting around much for a few days--had a computer bug. PC dr. got us all fixed up :). Just had to come and see what you are up to. The cherry trees are SO gorgeous. My neighbor has a weeping cherry. I can't wait until they bloom here. The redbuds are in full bloom and gorgeous here right now. Hope your week is going well!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous Mosaic! Love how you laid it out! It's so gorgeous out today and I'm finally in a good mood!

ReplyDeleteHi Girlfriend...
ReplyDeleteOMG! I can't believe that ya'll already have cherry blossoms! They are sooo pretty! We just don't have anything like that anywhere around here, but we do have a few apple and crab apple trees that have the pretty blossoms like that! It'll be awhile before they start their blooms though. Love your pretty photo mosaics, Lori...thank you for sharing them with us!
Also wanted to thank you for coming by and taking a peek at my Spring decor in the dining room and for leaving such a sweet note!
Have a fabulous day, Darlin'!
