Basically I seared the veggies in olive oil, added salt and pepper and then doused it with a bit of Maple Syrup. Into a very hot oven for 15-20 minutes. Delish. Sorry I didn't get a photo of them after they were cooked. The guests were about to attack and I forgot to take the final picture.
We had a houseful of guests and it was a big hit. It is surprising how many people have never had the little patty pan squashes. Of course there was asparagus. We eat it about once a week at least. This is what is so great about cooking. You start with one thing and adapt it to what you have on hand whether it is more of something or less.
