I am so sad that I couldn't get a good picture of the stained glass pieces done by Heidi. It hangs in the window of Maple Ridge Florist. I tried taking one of the cross from outside the shop but the glare from the glass was too much. Then the owner moved all kinds of things out of our way and she went in from the inside to try but she couldn't get back far enough
to show the whole piece.
It is the most amazing stained glass cross. It is about 6 feet tall and the most beautiful blues. It also has glass bead pieces inlaid. Then there is the white dove. A real show piece.
It wasn't my day for stained glass photos. The problem is they are in windows and therefore you get to see all the ugliness outside the window when you take a picture. This piece is unique because the center is open and you can hang a plant in the middle. Heidi has incorporated a metal hook in the center.
As usual I gravitate to the more rustic settings.
But in the end it is yellow that gets me every time. I love yellow.
There is just something about an orchid. Something sexy and exotic. Something about the way they grow in basically nothing to turn into these glorious flowers.
