I posted a while ago about how so many people were jumping on the hockey bandwagon this year because the Vancouver Canucks were in the playoffs.
Well they have done a great job and it is down to hopefully the last 1 or maybe 2 games.
Of course the crowds are growing and there are giant TV screens set up in the downtown core. Estimated more than 100,000 people celebrating down there. And that is just in downtown Vancouver, many other huge groups congregated in the outlying suburbs too. There are music videos out and Canuck flags flying from so many vehicles.
I have still managed to stay off the bandwagon but of course want them to win. I thought I would share an fabulous video clip with you. Hockey fan or not this is clever. If you are not a hockey fan note that the teams mentioned are Rangers, Islanders, Blackhawks, Predators, Sharks and now the Bruins. Enjoy
Oh my goodness...hi Lori....it was so very nice to hear from you. I LOVE hockey. Obviously, AZ is not the crazy hockey spot like Canada...but nevertheless, we do have a team. The Coyotes....I have gone to game and love it whenever I go.
ReplyDeleteHugs to you,

Awwww I don't think that we are on the bandwagon. But I sure hope they win, can't imagine all the negative energy disappointed fans will be giving off.

Great clip. I hope you are having a fun weekend!
ReplyDeleteI had to laugh at your post because we have experienced the same bandwagon thing here with baseball! We have sat through the cold, foggy, windy summer nights at the ballpark cheering on our SF Giants for years and then they win the World Series last year. Yea!! Can I tell you how much harder it is to get tickets? How mobbed the place was at Fanfest this year? I just hope all those people stick around if we slump. I'm personally not a hockey fan but we would get updates on the baseball scoreboard when the Sharks were still in it. Good luck to Vancouver!
ReplyDeleteGreat video. Go Canucks Go!
ReplyDeleteVery cool! I wondered what all the extra hockey talk was all about. Who was that player that gave up his Stanley Cup (that's hockey, right) tickets to see Bono? Love the post. This is a great promo.
