Yes they are still an amazing little fruit so full of live giving antioxidants that is would make our heads spin. We still love their sweet taste that is like no other.
The new kid on the block is now black rice. Yup. It is that lovely little black grain that turns purple when you cook it. It is bursting with iron, fiber and anthocyanin antioxidants. Anthocyanin antioxidants are found to be promising in the reduction of cancers, heart disease and bad cholesterol. All this in a spoonful of rice. Sounds like something I can get behind.

A spoonful of the rice has more of these benefits than a spoonful of blueberries and is much more affordable and available year round.
