Every family has their share of cute family words or sayings that have come from the mouths of babes.
When our boys were little they often cracked us up with the words they used for everyday things.
Here are a few I remember.
"Mom, we saw a morado" (motorcycle)
"Mom, we went in the moutonda" (sauna)
"Gopacos" (Ghostbusters) Okay this one had my mother in law pulling her hair out for days while we were away and our youngest wanted to watch Ghostbusters on TV. We didn't know what it was either when we got back but he showed us at home with the remote control.
Our friends had some interesting ones too.
Did you know that fafoos were waffles. To this day 27 years later we all still call them fafoos.
Or there was the time we were camping with our good friends. The dad asked his daughter to go to their motorhome and ask her mom for his Jim Bowie knife. Of course the mom had no idea what she was asking for when she said "Dad wants his Jimooey knife". Once again we all still call it that.
So how about you? What gems have your children added to the Family Dictionary?
