These are not my friends, though mine are just as fun. It is just the name of the video.

SUNDAY FAVORITES - IT'S ALL ABOUT ME

1. I am claustrophobic
2. I was caught stealing a piece of bubblegum when I was very little
3. I was sent to prison for that crime, just kidding. I have never been in prison
4. I have been living with my husband since the first day we went out together (33 years ago)
5. I like tequila
6. I don't have any tattoos
7. I sing like a bird...the crow is the closest example
8. I used to go dancing in nightclubs 6 nights a week
9. I have never danced with my husband (okay maybe one time only)
10. I dance to very loud rock and roll at home by myself (see # 5)
11. Monkeys and primates are my favorite animals
12. Sometimes I look like I am listening to you but really I am not
13. I dropped out of school in grade 11
14. I think I am smarter than many people who went on to university and got degrees
15. I underestimated how hard it would be to come up with 25 things about myself
16. I think I am a good friend
17. I like to feed people (I don't mean by hand I mean by cooking for company)
18. I hate taking classes and like to learn stuff on my own
19. I would have liked to have gone to med school (instead I just learned it on my own..see previous note)
20. I grew up in the projects
21. I hate camping
22. I work best under pressure
23. I have held a hummingbird in my hand
24. I don't care if your house is messy
25. I don't care if my house is messy either

PORK IN VINDALOO SAUCE

This recipe is from the cookbook by Madhur Jaffrey, Indian Cooking. There are a lot of ingredients but if you organize them the recipe is quite easy.

The ingredients for Indian cooking are pure art. I love the look. I love the smell. I love the textures. Fennel, black mustard, cinnamon, peppercorns, cumin, hot chilies.

Garlic and ginger.

Turmeric and ground coriander.

Cubed pork

I threw in some corn kernels.

METAMORPHOSIS AT THE RIVERS EDGE

We were quite surprised to find these guys at the side of the river in a little channel. 

First we saw a few. 

 

Then we noticed an area where there were a lot. 

 On closer inspection we saw they were piling up about an inch thick. It was amazing. 

 A few had their little legs but most were still not at that point.  Soon there will be a bunch of little frogs in the forest edge.

I JUST NEED A LITTLE MORE TIME

 I have done several cross stitch projects over the years and they have all been old fashioned Santas. I have also collected a bunch that I haven't started work on yet. Some of these are kits and some are pattern books. 

Note that all of these are not finished projects and these are just photos of the packages or books they come in.

Now I know it is not Christmas time yet but these are long term projects. If I started one today I probably couldn't finish by Christmas. Oh well maybe next year.

Now if I live another 50 years I might get them done...that is if I let my blog go. I just need a little more time.

VERIFICATION WORDS

I am not a fan of word verification. I don't use it. Of course one day when I am big and famous then I may have to reconsider but until then you have clear sailing when it is time to comment.

My question is where on earth do these snippets come from? What do they mean? Nothing I know but what if they did.


Here are some of the recent ones I have had to type in. What would your definition of these "words" be?

1. tacrocra - a South American vegetable similar to okra
2. puticar - a car for Lilliputians
3. ingoeste - an ancient word for eating as in "ingoeste thy food"
4. sothe - how you feel after you ingoested your food
5. deopun - a joke about your deo
6. tateduc - a new brand of duct tape
7. pockall - an acne medication
8. bioner - a pioneer in a biosphere
9. fogisci - an Italian fog
10. zyman - the way German people say hymen
11. murbeke - the hillbilly cousin of William Moerbeke, Flemish translator, which is who we need to get a hold of to translate what all these crazy word verifications mean.

Good morning to all my blog friends. I have a warning for all of you this morning. I first learned of this issue from the Eastman's Online Genealogy Newsletter this morning. 
There is a viral message going around purporting to be from LinkedIn, the social media site. 
"Starting this morning, Monday 9/27, at 10am GMT, cyber criminals sent spam email messages targeting the LinkedIn social media community.
Victims are emailed an alert link with a fictitious social media contact request. These messages accounted for as much as 24% of all spam sent within a 15-minute interval. Clicking the link, victims are taken to a web page that says "PLEASE WAITING.... 4 SECONDS" and redirects them to Google. During those four seconds, the victim's PC is infected with the ZeuS data theft malware by a drive-by download. ZeuS embeds itself in the victim's web browser and captures personal information, such as online banking credentials, and is widely used by criminals to pilfer commercial bank accounts."
