TROUBLE COMMENTING?

It has come to my attention that some people are having trouble commenting since they new reply option was added to the comment section.

Please email me if this is the case and I will change my comment setup. My email link is right there on my sidebar with the big envelope and the @ symbol on it.

I have also heard that this problem occurs when you are trying to comment while using Internet Explorer.

The problem is not there if you use Firefox or Google Chrome for some reason. You may want to try these other browsers instead…not just to comment here but for a better internet experience all around.

NOW I AM DOWNRIGHT FURIOUS

Some time ago I posted a “rant” about someone who purposely drove through the front of a restaurant killing 2 people, one a young lady I knew. corbett

You can read about this here http://www.familytreesmaycontainnuts.com/2009/12/i-am-stunned-and-angry.html

I will wait…go and read it.

Now it is apparent that this killer has been drinking again. His review was set for January 24th. but he was arrested January 10th for drinking which he is prohibited from.

How much more evidence do the “powers that be” need to realize that he can not be out of the Psychiatric Hospital. He is an alcoholic and when he stops drinking he becomes delusional. He won’t stop drinking forever but when he does you can’t trust what he will do. You also cannot trust what he will do when he is drinking.

Enough Said!!!! Throw away the key. Have a backbone and listen to the professionals that told you this would happen.

STUPID SURGICAL CHOICES

Many people get cosmetic surgery done. It can vary from a bit of a lift to total recreation of their bodies.

There are different types of cosmetic surgeries. Some cosmetic surgery is really a great thing. It helps people with burns, breast reconstruction or many other legitimate reasons. I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT THIS KIND OF SURGERY.

I am talking about the kind that is basically for sh#ts and giggles.

Sagging? No problem, they can tighten it up.

Bagging? They can suck that fat right out and inject it into your lips for that hideous big lip look. Ladies that is not sexy it is gross.

JOAN RIVERS

Not enough boobs? Pick a new size…EEE not recommended unless it is needed for your job as a porn star or stripper.

Already have the EEEs? They can relieve you of that extra boobage. Maybe they can use it to pad your rear like some people want. Good grief who wants a bigger ass.

Relatively speaking even though there are things that can go wrong with any of these procedures for the most part if they fail you can cover up the problem.

Well…not in Michael Jackson’s case but generally speaking you can.

There is something out there that I have never heard of before. Did you know that people are getting iris implants? You know the coloured part of your eyes. Brown, blue, hazel, green? People actually get their own irises removed and someone else’s attached so that they can have a different eye colour.

IRISES

Why not wear coloured contact lenses instead?  Well of course there are problems happening and people are losing their eyesight. What are you nuts? What a stupid chance to take. It is not like you are going to have your ass implants removed when they cause problems and you might have some scarring.

The woman in this picture above is now legally blind. So sad. She was an artist.

These are your eyes people. What part of your brain is missing here that you don’t know that it is far too risky a thing to do.

MEET HEATHER VON ST JAMES AND BE AMAZED.

I have come into contact with an amazing woman who has been sharing her story of surviving a brutal form of cancer.
Can you imagine being a brand new mom and getting a diagnosis like this. Her attitude is one that hopefully is contagious.
Please meet HEATHER VON ST JAMES

Heather and Family
If you ask anyone who knows me well, they would tell you that I am an optimist. I've been optimistic throughout my life. Whether I was having a good day or a terrible day, I could almost always find a way to keep smiling and make others around me smile as well. However, my optimism would be severely tested when I turned 36. The year started out to be the happiest year of my life, thanks to the birth of my beautiful baby girl. Three and a half months after her birth, I received my shocking cancer diagnosis.
On November 21, 2005, I found out that I had a deadly form of cancer, malignant pleural mesothelioma. Hearing the phrase "You have cancer" was truly surreal. No one can ever be prepared for cancer, and my diagnosis was unexpected and shocking. At first, my body froze and I felt numb. However, I soon realized that I had a choice to make in this process. Was I going to blame God and become bitter, or could I make the decision to fight with courage and optimism? I looked into my baby girl's face and instantly knew that I had to fight this disease with everything that I had. I summoned my inner strength and proceeded with hope.
It probably sounds like a strange thing to say, but so many good things have happened as a result of my cancer. There have been dark days in this journey, but the down times have given me valuable life lessons that have changed me as a person. I met other patients who seemed to have no hope, so I determined that I would find a way to encourage and uplift other patients. This goal gave me a sense of purpose on my hardest days. My incredible physician contributed to my positive attitude. Since he was the world's leading mesothelioma doctor, I was confident that my treatment would be successful. My surgeon scheduled my tumor removal operation for Groundhog's Day in 2006. My tumor quickly became known as Punxsutawney Phil thanks to my surgery date! In fact, we also renamed Groundhog's Day, and now call it Lungleavin Day, since that was the day my lung was removed. My family celebrates Lungleavin Day every year. During this special party, we remember all the gifts we have been given through this cancer journey. It reminds us to choose hope and believe in the power of optimism.
My greatest gifts throughout this cancer process are the wonderful friends that I have made. I cannot imagine my life without these incredible people. We have laughed together and cried together, and now we work together to spread awareness for the disease that has affected each of us and our families.

A BEAUTIFUL GIFT

My husband received a beautiful carving this weekend at the cabin.

I AM SOOOOO JEALOUS.

This would be perfect in my Santa collection but no dice. He is not parting with it.

It is about 2 feet tall.

TALK TO ME BABY

I am so excited with the new roll out by Blogger.

You can now reply directly to a comment made by someone else on my blog.

comments on comments

This will keep a thread of comments together rather than have your comments languish further down the page where they may not seem relevant to the previous comments.

From Blogger:

“what do you have to do to enable this on your blog? Nothing! If you have Blogger’s commenting feature enabled, “Blog Feed” set to “Full”, and are using “Embedded” comments, then you’re ready to start a discussion with your readers. To check, or change your feed settings, select: “Settings > Other >, and then “Full” from the “Allow Blog Feed” dropdown”

Blogger also says:

A threaded commenting system means more discussion and back-and-forth dialogue. If you’d like to be notified of any updates to a discussion, just click “Follow by email” to subscribe to the thread. This way, you’ll be notified via email so you can keep up with the conversation. Keep in mind that this is a different subscription than the “Follow by email” gadget used to follow another blogger’s blog posts.”

I look forward to the dialogue that this will hopefully encourage on my blog.

I COULD DO IT. ABSOLUTELY

I am sure everyone is talking about that poor young woman in Oklahoma who was home with her newborn baby when two men were breaking into her home.

We have heard the 911 call where she asks if she can shoot them and is advised she can do what she needs to do to protect her baby once they are in the house. I am just sorry that she didn’t get off a second shot and take care of both of these lowlifes.

GrannyClampett-729655

When my sister was visiting at Christmas we actually were having this conversation because at one time she considered getting a gun when there were a lot of home invasions happening in the lower mainland. People  advised her against it. People said you probably wouldn’t be able to pull the trigger.

I think people are wrong. I would be able to do it and I know she would too. I would feel no compunction in shooting someone who was breaking into my home and if I was there with a child I would shoot you twice…once for each of us.

I don’t care what the law says. I will protect myself and my family. AT ALL COSTS. Be warned.

What about you? What are the laws where you live?

YA, YA…I’M GOING

cat-is-lazy

I have to go back today….back to work after the many days off over the last 10 days.

Back to work with no sign of any holidays for months.

Don’t get me wrong. I am very lucky to have a job. I like my job.

It is just that these extra days off at Christmas  brought me back to a time before I went back into the work force when I was a SAHM for 25 years.

A time when my schedule was all my own. I was the boss and I chose the projects and duties. A time when I had the time to go to interesting places and take photos to share with all of you. And also the time to spend time with all of you in your corners of the blog world.

So here I will go this morning, off to my job which again I know I am lucky to have but I will be thinking of all of you in this new year. I look forward to whatever time we can find to visit each other.

No having fun without me please!!!
