I have to go back today….back to work after the many days off over the last 10 days.
Back to work with no sign of any holidays for months.
Don’t get me wrong. I am very lucky to have a job. I like my job.
It is just that these extra days off at Christmas brought me back to a time before I went back into the work force when I was a SAHM for 25 years.
A time when my schedule was all my own. I was the boss and I chose the projects and duties. A time when I had the time to go to interesting places and take photos to share with all of you. And also the time to spend time with all of you in your corners of the blog world.
So here I will go this morning, off to my job which again I know I am lucky to have but I will be thinking of all of you in this new year. I look forward to whatever time we can find to visit each other.
No having fun without me please!!!
Hmmmm.... I'll try not to have fun without you. Snicker snicker.
ReplyDeleteYep, real bummer...I spent 25 years as a part time employee...now I'm full time and it's a bummer...no time for any of the good stuff...but at least there's funds when the good stuff is available...
ReplyDeleteI hear you, after working most of my life...I now have some time off, and I like it. Sorry....but I know that I will have to go back one day. Let's just hope that the one day is really far away.
ReplyDeleteFor now, we look forward to seeing you when you have time.

I went back to work yesterday, after 16 days off(counting weekends). All the 140 freshmen are still sleepy, so it's pretty good right now. But I am usually just too tired to blog much, or do any clever craft, etc. Brain-fried.
ReplyDeleteI'm here at work --- not having fun, just like you!
ReplyDeleteYep, work interferes with everything:@)
ReplyDeleteFrom one who doesn't have to go to work right now, thinking of you.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you have to go back to work! I have not worked now in three years. As long as the hubby takes care of me, I really don't plan on going back to work. Its given me time for genealogy and blogs...nice
ReplyDeleteNever worry Lori - you are always invited to join in
ReplyDeleteI won't have fun without you!!
ReplyDeleteI used to teach and I remember how hard it was to go back to school after Christmas break. I promise to try not to have too much fun without you. (-:
ReplyDeleteI don't miss going into a regular job. I'm kinda liking my SAHM job right now!! =)
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! Back to work blues will be gone in no time :)
