She posted an old glamour (I'm Canadian, we spell it that way) shot of herself from years back and as I read the comments about everyone having their own pictures done too I figured it would be fun to have a Glamour Girl party. You remember those photos you had done 20 years ago where they did your hair and makeup? We would have them at our houses and the crew of photographer, hairdresser and make up artist would come and we would have a party. Food, wine, friends and some amazing transformations. An assembly line of women in various stages of super modeldom.
So here is the deal. Start looking for your pictures now so you don't miss out. They are likely hiding away somewhere in a box.
Tuesday, September 14th
I will put up a Mr. Linky post so you can link up your own fabulous Glamour Shot from the old days.
Don't be shy, share these great photos with all of us. Some will be funny and some will be awesome but hey they are all us and we are always a work in progress.
I have had them done twice and wow was I ever a hottie!!! (snort) They were taken about 20 years ago.
We will all link up our posts with our beautiful glamour
photos in them. Please post the badge from my sidebar on your blog as a reminder and invitation to others to join in.
Glamour Shots! Wow, I remember those! Does that make me old?
ReplyDeleteOh, I can NOT wait to see all those glamour shots! And yes, I spell it with a "u" too!!! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog today. I'm following you now - for some reason, I thought I already was but apparently blogger didn't put that one through for me. I think it went through for me this time.
Anyway, in answer to your question, we can buy BC wines here no problem. We enjoy them too! But as for the winery restaurant across the road, although it is a lovely setting, it is SOOOOOO over-priced that I don't spend too much time over there! :)
There isn't enough money in this world to show everyone my glamour shot....yuk! I am going to enjoy seeing the others though, I know not fair.........:-) Hugs
ReplyDeleteHey sweet lady...
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to come by to say hello! It's been awhile since we've visited! It's been a busy summer...eeeks! I have gotten sooo far behind with my blogging...I don't think I'll ever get caught up! You know how fast Blogland moves! Hehe! Anyway, I do hope that my note finds you and your honey well!
Girlfriend, I think having a Glamour Shots party sounds like sooo much fun! You can count me in! I did have some of "those" photos taken about 12 yrs. ago. Can't wait...this is a great idea!!! Well my friend...I'll talk with you later!
Have a fabulous weekend!

Haha! I thought about how fun that would be, I'm glad you made it a party!!! I can NOT wait to see everyone else! :)
ReplyDeleteHey, I spell glamour "our" too...but I noticed all of my friends spelled it glamor...dang Americans!! So crude. lol
What a great idea! I'd love to participate but a certain divorce ten years ago put paid to the photo albums. I'm looking forward to everyone else's glam shots though!
ReplyDeleteLori,
ReplyDeleteThis is such a fab fun idea, count me in!!
Now, if I could just remember which box I packed them away in.
I've taken the button & will post it on my sidebar to start spreading the news.
Great idea Lori. I did this too, back in the day. In Portland, Oregon there was a company that did glamour shots. It was 30 years ago! It was weird, they made my face white, put tons of eye make up on and took black and white photos. It didn't even look like me! I will try to get the courage to participate on September 14th....!
ReplyDeleteOMG! - I have my picture all lined up and ready! Not got a clue what Mr Linky is??? Will look out and hope I can work it LOL x
ReplyDeleteHey, I came over from Mimi's. Any recommendation from her is a sure thing. I tried to follow but google is messing with me-I will stop by later. (That sounds lame-but it's true! Not the lame part. The follow part.)
ReplyDeleteGlamour Shot? NO way. But I sure do remember those days. (which is surprising since I can remember basically nothing from those days).
I am so joining in on this! Will have to dig up my pics!
ReplyDeleteSads.. I never had these done. They were way more than the 30 bucks my mom was more than willing to shell out for school pics. HA!
ReplyDeleteHave fun!
Sounds like such a terrific party idea. Just love it and I know exactly which photo to use! I'll be there (just hope I remember). Thanks for stopping by last week. We were away so I'm catching up. Jane F.
ReplyDeletehaha great idea!! i never had one done, but looking forward to seeing lots of big hair!!
ReplyDeleteHi Lori,
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog today. I don't have an "official" glamour shot but I have a couple of head shots that I think could qualify :-) Now I need to go dig them out from under a bed somewhere!!
