You know what we just ...Lori, this made me so sad! You know what we just walked through and I hate to think of it for you. I have become convinced that commercial dog food, filled with GMO corn and other grains as well as chicken-by-products (read "chicken poop" in many instances), is the culprit for many of our dogs developing these lumps. Another friend's dog just died from these and JoJo had them. We are feeding Minky an organic dry as well as lots of table scraps and raw food. I may have to do a blog about this. Wow. We were able to reduce JoJo's lumps a LOT by switching her to Minky's current regimine and I think it bought her a year. I hope this helps in some way!Robynn's Ravingshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02619286823020924023noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6259236724941582496.post-52167867111389815942010-05-06T12:28:29.140-07:002010-05-06T12:28:29.140-07:00Poor Max. The husband & I are so conscious about where our dog & bird are at any given time that it's become obsessive & we check & double check all the time. The dog is deaf now & can't hear us calling him & the bird, while his wings are clipped, he's still quite capable of short bursts of "flight".
When we can't find either - we go into overdrive-focus search mode. It's a wonder I've not had a heart attack just from this!
Glad to hear your Maxine is home safe & sound.
