I am on the same side as the restaurant but I don't live on the river.
Joanne: my inlaws lived on Hatzic slough for many years. If you went up the slough you would have noticed their house. The one with the windows everywhere and the corner stone fireplace that was two and half stories high. Looked like a ski chalet.Lori Ehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10775116608698555225noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6259236724941582496.post-66713083026115703952009-05-26T12:17:29.662-07:002009-05-26T12:17:29.662-07:00Ohh Lori - you have a river view -- how fabulous. ...Ohh Lori - you have a river view -- how fabulous. I love watching the Fraser -- doesn't matter what side. Years ago we had a place at Hatzic Lake and I still regret having to sell it. Our last house was right on a river, and I do miss being able to sit behind the house and watch the water, the swans, the geese, the canoes, and the big gawky cranes. . . but I don't miss those times when the river got too big for its britches and decided it had to go into our backyard and then into our cellar. :-P

I have to confess to loving ferry rides, but I sure can understand the lure of the convenience of a bridge when there is such a wait for ferry-ing!

Enjoy your bridge when it opens! Will you spend the first day just driving back and forth for fun? :-)
CassCass @ That Old Househttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12173199705431319322noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6259236724941582496.post-82860327222868164262009-05-25T17:39:14.451-07:002009-05-25T17:39:14.451-07:00Delightful photos. Your photo and dinner on a river reminds me of two meals we took on vacationlast summer. Our restaurant was on a lake, not a river....but water is water....and when the sun sets the reflection on the water is so beautiful.Linda Hughes Hiserhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05774876428039197357noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6259236724941582496.post-65521330938267731812009-05-25T12:50:46.856-07:002009-05-25T12:50:46.856-07:00I live on the wrong side Lucy.
