DID I MENTION I HATE IRONING?

The funniest thing is that I still didn't do any ironing. I don't know why I dislike it so.
I love crisp lines and smoothly ironed clothes.
I just hate ironing.

I love the smell of the steamy fabric.
I just hate ironing.
How about you?
Love it so much you do it for fun.
Hate it so much you live in a nudist colony?

DO YOU KNOW WHERE YOUR FOOD IS COMING FROM…THERE’S AN APP FOR THAT.

There has been a mountain of information regarding our food supply lately. From GMO foods to slave labour and non-sustainable farming practices.

There has been an outcry against modifying our produce through genetics to result in higher yields, disease resistance and delayed ripening to name a few.

Monsanto is probably the biggest name in the GMO soup. Big and powerful. Their name is everywhere now in social media.

But how do you know where to shop or what to buy?

Well if you have an IPhone there is an free app for that.

(Not my scan)

BUYCOTT is a phone app that will tell you the family history of a product just from its product code. It will also tell you of any boycotts in effect for these companies or products. It is totally optional to join these boycotts.

So this is what you do. Download the app to your IPhone….yes it is free. Use your phone to scan a UPC product code into the phone and give the app a minute to post the “family tree” of your product.

From the company:

When you use Buycott to scan a product, it will look up the product, determine what brand it belongs to, and figure out what company owns that brand (and who owns that company, ad infinitum). It will then cross-check the product owners against the companies and brands included in the campaigns you've joined, in order to tell you if the scanned product conflicts with one of your campaign commitments.

I scanned my fresh tomatoes, my can of tuna and a box of crackers. No surprises. I hope you can get some piece of mind while making your choices in the grocery store.

Let me know if you give it a try.

4 WORMS IN A CHURCH

Four Worms in Church

(Four worms and a lesson to be learned !!!)

!cid_image001_png@01CD5DD1

A Minister decided that a visual demonstration would add emphasis to his Sunday sermon.
Four worms were placed into four separate jars.
The first worm was put into a container of alcohol.
The second worm was put into a container of cigarette smoke.
The third worm was put into a container of chocolate syrup.
The fourth worm was put into a container of good, clean soil.
At the conclusion of the sermon, the Minister reported the following results:
The first worm in alcohol
... Dead.
!cid_image002_png@01CD5DD1The second worm in cigarette smoke ... Dead.
!cid_image003_png@01CD5DD1The third worm in chocolate syrup ... Dead. !cid_image004_png@01CD5DD1
The fourth worm in good, clean soil ... Alive .

So the Minister asked the congregation, "What did you learn from this demonstration?"

Maxine was sitting in the back and quickly raised her hand and said,!cid_image005_png@01CD5DD1"As long as you drink, smoke, and eat chocolate, you won't have worms!"
That pretty much ended the service !!

REPORTING A SPAM BLOGGER PROFILE

I stopped anonymous commenters but sadly that is not enough as I am now getting spam comments from phony blogger profiles.
I will not take this lying down. I have reported this spam blog profile and you can do it too if someone is posting on your blog using a fake Blogger profile.
I know you can do this no matter where they are posting from but since this was a Blogger profile I’ll go with that one.
To report the spam blogger click on their name to take you to their blogger profile page. You will see nothing there because it is a shell for sending out spam.
Copy the URL, that is the web page address that starts with http://www. and go and paste it on the Google spam reporting page and they will have a go at it. Here is the link for you.
Be vigilant. Report every time. Stand up for our right to not be used for somebody else’s personal gain. Your blog is yours and should not be used without your approval.
