TALK TO ME BABY

I am so excited with the new roll out by Blogger.

You can now reply directly to a comment made by someone else on my blog.

comments on comments

This will keep a thread of comments together rather than have your comments languish further down the page where they may not seem relevant to the previous comments.

From Blogger:

“what do you have to do to enable this on your blog? Nothing! If you have Blogger’s commenting feature enabled, “Blog Feed” set to “Full”, and are using “Embedded” comments, then you’re ready to start a discussion with your readers. To check, or change your feed settings, select: “Settings > Other >, and then “Full” from the “Allow Blog Feed” dropdown”

Blogger also says:

A threaded commenting system means more discussion and back-and-forth dialogue. If you’d like to be notified of any updates to a discussion, just click “Follow by email” to subscribe to the thread. This way, you’ll be notified via email so you can keep up with the conversation. Keep in mind that this is a different subscription than the “Follow by email” gadget used to follow another blogger’s blog posts.”

I look forward to the dialogue that this will hopefully encourage on my blog.

  2. Thank you for the information.
I've noticed that I can't see some bloggers comments now...and on those blogs, I can't comment...sigh. I guess that Blogger is having a problem that needs to be worked out.
I hope that you have a lovely week.
    Hugs,
    Jackie

    1. Hopeful that they get it worked out. You can't lose the ability to comment on your blog. That is just not acceptable.

  4. OOOps I was supposed to let you know that I got the return comment wasn't I? Whooops, sorry about that. Nothing like a little publicity to make me realize I should read the comments more then once to let them sink in.

I have a great excuse, between the spotty internet connection, and all the happenings around here, my computer time is so limited that obviously I am missing some important details. Sorry about that.

  6. Thanks for the tip. I've not been aware of this feature. BTW: I want to share a neighbor of mine's Blog. She is a horsewoman/Mom and today's post was so enjoyable about her New Mexico State Centinnial trial ride: http://laughingorcaranch.blogspot.com/2012/01/san-lorenzo-canyon-trail-ride.html
Take a look, I think you will enjoy it!

  7. Maybe it will do away with people emailing rather than leaving a comment? I don't get that. If I take the time to go and comment, I would hope they would visit too.

I never understood why people answered questions in the comment section. I never remember to go back and look. So this will take care of that I guess if they get an email. What about the people who have that no reply blogger addy?

  8. Hmm, I just reread it. You mean It is just to respond to another's comment?
I rarely read the other's comments. And if I do I feel they are speaking to you, not asking for comments from others.

  11. I have notice the feature on mine and others blogs but have yet to use it.

If I take time to read somebody's post I always leave a comment on their blog. I've never thought about respondin' to others comments. Hummmmm, new dimension.

Thanks for the heads up girl!

God bless ya and have a splendid day!!!

    1. When I was participating in the blogger hangout, I discovered that two problems I have been having were because I was using Internet Explorer as a browser.
When I switched to chrome, as suggested, both problems were solved.

    2. I use Firefox and don't have any issues with it Kathy. IE is not the best browser for many reasons.

  14. I took part in a google hangout with +blogger today. I hadn't yet changed my comments to be "embedded." I'll be waiting to see how this works. It sounds like it has potential.

  15. It's me again, Lori. I figured it out. It was (and is) my Browser. I don't have any problems if I use Google Chrome...but have problems if I use Internet Explorer. Go figure!! But at least I know what the problem is now.
    Warm smiles to you,
    Jackie

  17. Wordpress did that a while back - it was automatic but I love it!

I've never heard of whipping egg whites for waffles! The pumpkin waffles were super easy - hope you make them! :D
