SOME PEOPLE ARE TOO STUPID TO LIVE

***RANT WARNING*** RANT WARNING***
I truly feel some people are really too stupid to even be alive. How do they manage to feed themselves? How do they manage not to walk off cliffs? Too damned stupid to be alive.
It was just last month that we had to have our beloved Maxine put down at almost 14 years old. I find the following stories especially repugnant.

Some stupid woman in Minneapolis tried to mail a 4 month old puppy to Georgia. Seriously.
She put the little pup in a box, poked a couple holes and went to the post office and mailed it to a family member. The packing tape covered the holes.
Oh wait she sent it Priority Post, how thoughtful. That would only take up to 2 days. No worries then. Too damned stupid to be alive.
The box said on it "This is for your 11th birthday. Just what you wanted". Yes that is what every 11 year old wants. A dead puppy in a box. Too damned stupid to be alive.
A regular box in the cargo hold of the plane will be in minus 40 degrees temperature. Too stupid to be alive.
The postal worker asked if anything was perishable, dangerous etc. All the standard questions. I guess she was expected to ask if she was sending a live animal. All the woman said to the postal workers was "be careful, it is delicate".
Thank goodness the little puppy made some noise in the back and moved around. The staff noticed it and got permission to open the box. The dog has been taken away but she could get it back through appeal.
Oh yes, and the stupid bitch asked for her $22.00 back that she paid for postage. Tooooooo stupid to be alive.
Don't even get me started on the horrific slaughter here in B.C. of around 100 sled dogs. I have stayed away from the news reports and newspaper articles because I can't stomach the thought of knowing what happened here.

  1. As I type this, my beautiful, abused rescue poodle is asleep on my leg. I think you're entitled to a "rant". Unbelievable!

  2. I saw this in the newspaper and had to shake my head in disbelief (if I were to allow myself any more of a reaction, I would have been bouncing off the walls and ceiling). That lady had better not be able to get the puppy back!

  3. Just when you think you've seen it all, this comes out! I have all rescues of EVERYTHING! The slaughter of racehorses after they run their hearts out, and the same with greyhounds. I have a rescued racehorse and he is precious to me. My dogs, cats, birds, chickens are all rescues! I hate people! (not my blogger friends)! Don't get me started! You have all the right to rant. >8>0

  4. The stupidity and idiocy of some people never fails to amaze me! How do these people make it through the day? This lady was nuts, that's for sure. Thank goodness she didn't drug the poor dog before boxing him up and mailing him- his whimper and movement saved him at the post office!

  5. I call these people a waste of oxygen!!! Un-freaken-believeable. And yes lets not discuss that other "issue"
Sue thank goodness this woman was too stupid to think of something like that -thinking of drugging the poor puppy would take some common sense.
Deep breaths Lori - deep breaths.

  6. Heard this story on the news the other night and was appalled. I'm with you a hundred percent on this, Lori. That woman should serve jail time so she will have plenty of opportunity to figure out what was wrong with what she did.

  7. And they vote. And procreate! Scary how utterly totally stupid people can be. You have every right to be upset. We all should be. I put her in the same league as Michael Vick.

  8. Lets stick her in a box with no air holes and mail her in the belly of an airplane to the other side of the world. The rest of what I want to say, I better not, as it is mostly curse words.

  10. I heard that story and couldn't believe it!
Well yes I can. I work with families everyday that are amazingly stupid or just clueless.
Only thing is that they are neglecting children and the effects can last a lifetime. I am currently working with one of the worse cases of neglect I have ever seen. I tell you, it breaks my heart.
I need to quit ranting now myself.
    Happy weekend,
    Cindy

  11. Seriously? What an idiot! That poor puppy, thank goodness that the postal workers were alert enough to realize something was up. And she actually had the nerve to ask for her money back? Someone yesterday said that if we got snow (which we did) that she would not come to work today. Why? Because she has no car insurance (illegal) and didn't want to risk recking her car (which she just bought and I'm trying to figure out how she registered it with no insurance). This person has two young children. Which means she drives them around every single day uninsured. People are nuts! Kat

  12. OH my! I hadn't heard this story. Too stupid is right. I'm so sorry about your sweet baby, Maxine, too.

  13. Oh Carol already came up with my option. Mail the stupid PERSON somewhere and that would end the problem. We had a rescue dog for 11 years before she had to be put to sleep - she was so loving and trusting to the very end. I am crying thinking about it and I'd like to do some serious harm to that woman!

It's amazing how stupid some people can be!!
Sorry to read about Maxine. I'm sure she will be missed.

  15. Just let me be Boss of the World for only two weeks! I'll take care of her and the millions like her! Honestly I like dogs more than I like most people! That broad needs to be pinched repeatedly.

  18. Cruelty to animals comes in many, many forms and lack of using the forebrain is just one ingredient to that special kind of disaster. Too stupid to be alive, yes. Part of the reason we all need to support the animal rescues and shelters surrounding us...definitely. What's the solution? We keep thinking, reasoning, logically working it out, problem-solving and outsmarting those who obviously can't be bothered to expend the energy themselves...after all...one day, this woman will be found nommed to death by a wee little dog in her wee little apartment. If it can happen to an older gentleman's toes, it can happen to her. Just watch ;)
