So every year it is the same thing. What to get for the BB Guy for Christmas. Every year I come up with a great idea, knowing what he may need or want.
Shortly before Christmas he comes home with something that caught his eye while out shopping.........something that was on my list to get for him. Aaaaarrrrrggggghhhhhhh. Don't shop for yourself at Christmas time people.
This year I knew what to get him because he always wants to take my IPod full of great music to the cabin with him. I was going to give him an IPod loaded with tunes.
So away he goes, out of town on business, when his stinkin' cell phone packs it in and he happily walks out of the phone store with a new IPhone, which of course will hold all those great tunes I was talking about.
I guess he is getting underwear for Christmas. And not the nice kind!!!
Man does this as well, solution, we don't buy each other gifts any more. Takes some of the fun out of the holiday, on the other hand, don't get all teed off any more.
ReplyDeleteKeep the iPod for yourself! Enjoy the tunes!
How frustrating!
ReplyDeleteWhat a handful men are. My hubby wants a Kindle. He told me I could "get it for him" for Christmas. Okay. Then the other day he said that he would buy it himself and I could just give him the money because I would "probably screw it up"!!!! HELP!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
Oh dear! To tell you the truth, my husband and I do not exchange Christmas gifts anymore. It's so much easier.
ReplyDeleteNo exchanges here either. I give up. When we need something we buy it! No fun, I know!
ReplyDeleteWe consult on "major" gifts, if any, and then each buy a goofy surprise gift for the other.
ReplyDeleteThe first few years my husband and I were married, he did the exact same thing! Every year he said he bought himself a Christmas present. I had to change that one real quick like. So...he has been pretty great about it for the last17 years or so. This year I went and bought myself a present! Then I had to send everyone who had my list a note, that I bought this item. Thought I was going to get in BIG trouble!! Then I looked, I never put it on my hugh list! It was meant to be!
ReplyDeleteThat is soooo like a man!!! Dang if shoppin' just before Christmas doesn't warrant underwear, I don't know what does! Heeehehehehe!
ReplyDeleteAs my Granny Walden use to say, "that'll learn 'em!" :o)
God bless ya and have a most stupendous weekend!!!
My husband and I are good at this game too. So frustrating!
ReplyDeleteMy husband does this. Every. Year. And on his birthday! It must be a man thing, because my son has started doing it, too!!!
ReplyDeleteOur policy is that he gets me a new bathrobe and I buy him new cologne. I buy what I want when I need or want it, and don't care to be surprised by something that will probably have to be returned. New cologne is always welcomed (he likes when his big sissies snuggle up with the "baby brother" and tell him how good he smells). Works for us.... And no wrapping- I love gift bags! *grin*
