HOLIDAY MANTLE

Since I haven't started with my decorating yet this year I am reposting my mantle from a while back to join in with
If this party doesn't get me in the mood for decorating I don't know what will.

(FROM 2010)
This year I have not put out all my Santas. Not even a third of them. Sigh. No time, no room, no energy. Some did make it on to the mantle though.

  2. It must have been hard to narrow down your choices of Santa's...they are all so pretty. I love your fireplace, too. Tthe field stones remind me of our fireplace at the lake.

  3. Well Lori, the ones that you did put out look lovely. I hear you about the lack of energy, still no tree up. Isn't work a four letter word?

After all, who wants to dig through a crowded storage locker, where mice, and axe wielding killers might lurk [I have a very vivid imagination, and it's dark down there].

So maybe I will brave it today, but only if Gar is there to back me up.

    Have a great Christmas.

  8. I didn't put out any of my Santas either Lori, but it looks like you might have tons more. I bet it was hard to pick your favorites. Your mantel looks wonderful though. Love the stone fireplace. Have a very Merry Christmas!

  9. Well, I know you have a large number of Santa's you could have put out, Lori- so you must really have been busy and stressed. I think a lot of people really felt much the same way this year. Time just got away from me and I just didn't feel as motivated to "do it all." Maybe it has something to do w/becoming an "empty nester" this year. LOL The Santa's you chose to put out look wonderful on that fireplace mantel. Love the stones and the old window frame. You enjoy this holiday weekend with your family, Lori! hugs, Sue

  10. I'm back with another comment this year- I love all your Santa's, Lori. I know what you mean re: not having things out yet. In my case, it might be "if ever." LOL I have the bah humbug syndrome and am debating how much I will be paring down this season. I started my trees 2 days ago and the house is in turmoil. Hope we both get some inspiration. Hugs from Ethel

  15. You did a wonderful job of that Santa mantle display.

It's a lot of work, and it's also time consuming...seems bloggers are either in there early, or going to be late decorating...I'm....not really into it yet.
