WHO NEEDS MILK WHEN YOU HAVE POP?

All this time I thought we should be giving babies milk and water. I had no idea pop was pure and wholesome and should be given to my babies. My sons are pretty strong and healthy but just imagine how much better they would have developed had I given them pop.
I guess it was just a natural progression from giving them whiskey to help with teething and to make them sleep. Personally I would have drank the booze myself. The babies can keep the pop though because I never ever drink it.

  1. LOL!!!! When my two oldest children were babies, we lived in the SOUTH and I raised them on bottles of sweet tea - - - in between the milk!

    Guess what - - - they lived!!!

  2. I guess they thought it was wholesome as long as the babies didn't have teeth yet for it to rot them out! LOL Makes you wonder about some of the other old advertisements!

  8. Holy smokes, that ranks up there with the old ads with doctors endorsing certain brands of cigarettes! Soda for babies? Hahaha... my mother thought soda the Devil's own beverage; we never had it in our house. I was shocked to find it at friends' houses, and then thought it wildly exotic.

But Keetha -- iced tea for babies? Yikes. Although our old pediatrician (and I do mean OLD) used to tell me to give my girls tea when they were tiny, for upset tummies. Old remedies.

Oh well. my baby formula was Karo Syrup and evaporated milk! My mom raised 4 kids on that.

    Times change.
