POST CHRISTMAS THOUGHTS

The Christmas dinner is over, the Boxing Day party has come to an end and I think it was pretty much a success all the way around.
I was lucky this year to have one of my sisters here with her husband. We at least got to talk to our other sister on the phone. My brother...I have no idea. Two out of three ain't bad.
The dinner was right on time having done a lot of prep work ahead of time. It was delicious if I do say so myself. We all ate a little too much going back for seconds.
We were all feeling great with the exception of one of my sons who had to leave the table part way through due to a case of what we figured was food poisoning, not picked up at my table I must add. Five out of six people healthy ain't bad.
The gifts were wonderful. All of us were very lucky and received many nice things. Only one gift was not a keeper. One out of  many ain't bad.
On Boxing Day we had many people come by. It was a fun day and evening full of laughs and food. I made many appetizers and trays. Everything tasted fabulous with the exception of the stuffed mushrooms which were terrible. One out of dozens ain't bad.
We had about 30 people come over throughout the open house. There were others who were invited that were not likely to come but only one couple that had confirmed had to back out. Two out of 32 ain't bad.
We had a wonderful Christmas and Boxing Day. 100% and that ain't bad.

How about you? Was Santa good to you? Did you get to see family and friends? Did you feel the peace, love and joy of the season? I hope so.

  3. A big Thank You goes out to Keetha for "bringing" us together! :)

I so enjoyed visiting your blog....your summation of Christmas Day and Boxing Day was great. Our Christmas Eve and Day were wonderful, in spite of the BLIZZARD that hit our area (KC,MO) starting on Christmas Eve. We made it to our family gatherings.....late and white knuckled, but without a wreck (and there were LOTS of them cuz it was pretty icy, too!)

I think your writing challenge sounds like fun...I hope to join in!

Have a Happy New Year!! Dana

  4. I am so happy to hear that you had a wonderful time. Sorry about the food poisoning issues.

But everything else sounds great. Nice to hear that you had a lot of friends drop by. Too bad that I had to work Boxing Day.

Ah Christmas is just peachy, when it is allllll over.

  5. Well all summed up it was pretty darn great!!! Wish we could have been one of the 30ish that popped by but hubby's family kept us hopping yesterday. Oh and yet another fun thing has happened -- watch for my post Monday or Tuesday (must supply pictures for this *sighs*)

So glad to hear you had such a wonderful Christmas!
I must say that, in spite of the fact that I did not receive any of the rooms I asked Santa for, I did have a most wonderful Christmas!

    Happy New Year!
