TOLE PAINTING- WILLIAMSBURG 4TH OF JULY

I painted this lazy susan several years ago. It is from a pattern by the very talented Betty Caithness and is entitled Williamsburg 4th of July. A very historical pattern.
Betty's patterns are all very intricate. I struggle to come close to her final vision on my own. I have painted a mirror frame which did not turn out well but also have a pattern of hers for a Christmas Noah's Ark trunk that I hope to do soon.

  1. It looks great! I don't get what you mean by pattern. Do you buy it with the picture on it and then paint it or what?

    Hope your weekend goes well!

  8. I am blown away by this. What a beautiful piece of work Lucy. I know my hand is not that steady and my eyesight would not be up to the task. I learn something new about you everyday. This will come in handy when we are on the lam.
