I painted this lazy susan several years ago. It is from a pattern by the very talented Betty Caithness and is entitled Williamsburg 4th of July. A very historical pattern.
Betty's patterns are all very intricate. I struggle to come close to her final vision on my own. I have painted a mirror frame which did not turn out well but also have a pattern of hers for a Christmas Noah's Ark trunk that I hope to do soon.
It looks great! I don't get what you mean by pattern. Do you buy it with the picture on it and then paint it or what?
ReplyDeleteThis is just gorgeous. I have always admired anyone who can paint like this. Just gorgeous. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteI think you did a beautiful job on this! You've obviously mastered the techniques of decorative painting! It looks very real ... without being photographic ... charming!
ReplyDeleteHope your weekend goes well!

ReplyDeleteI am blown away by this. What a beautiful piece of work Lucy. I know my hand is not that steady and my eyesight would not be up to the task. I learn something new about you everyday. This will come in handy when we are on the lam.
