SANTA COLLECTION #23
In addition to my many Santa figurines I also have some old postcards. Some of them have penny stamps and writing on them. This one was postmarked in 1911 in a place called Clyde and addressed to Mr. C.L. Woleslagel also in Clyde, O. RR3. and was from Muriel & Susie.
What I am looking forward to:
ReplyDeleteSeeing your display (s) of all the wonderful Santas you have!
I love the old postards especially with metallic paint embellishments.
ReplyDeleteChristmas, Mother's Day, Valentine's card...LOVE THEM!
I agree with the above comment. You're going to have to post photos when all of your Santas are on display.
Cool postcard - I love stuff like this that has real history to it.
ReplyDeleteDo you have them framed and hung?
ReplyDeleteI have 13 postcards in total and I have a hard time showing them off to their best. Because I like to see the backs of the ones that were written on I haven't put them in a frame. Some are in protective clear sleeves. They really are not valuable at all. Some are reproductions.
ReplyDeleteI mostly slip them in amongst the rest of my Santas where ever that may be.
