BLOGGING WITH INTEGRITY

BlogWithIntegrity.com
I have have signed on as a blogger with integrity. Now I know that having done so does not stop others from their plagiarizing our works because someone who would do that doesn't care what I join but there is more to it than just the theft of our works.
You should check it out for yourself. While you are at it check out what Jen @ Muddy Boot Dreams had to say as she put me on to this. She provided a link as well for Debi Ward Kennedy's site. This woman has taken on a mountain and I sure hope she wins. As I said in my previous post we must not let this behavior go unhindered. We wouldn't allow someone to steal from our purse nor should we let this go.
Blogging with integrity also refers to how we comment on other blogs and the content of our posts. Treating others with respect. This is not from a censorship stance but one simply of integrity. It refers to our sponsors and product reviews too. When I post giveaways from my sponsor they are identified as such. When I give away something I have purchased or painted that is different.
At one time I was contacted by a man who wished to use some photos of my sister's garden. Although she and her husband had given me permission to use the photos on my site I had to ask them if it would be alright for this man to use them as well. That is how it should be done. Once the original agreement has changed then permission is needed again.
I hope you will sign up too and please always let someone know if you see their content anywhere other than their own site.

ADDENDUM: Here is another interesting site with great information on this issue.

  1. Thanks for the heads up! Had no idea how prevalent this problem was. Took the pledge and grabbed the button. Hopefully this movement will really take off. Kathy

  2. Thanks, Betty, for the heads-up. This is amazing to me that someone can take such a fun "sport" and turn it into something we feel like we have to guard and be suspicious.
