SUNDAY FAVORITES

Sunday Favorites is a re-posting of an old post that other may not have seen before. I have had several new followers lately and they may not have met Maxine before. She is 12 years old now and is really showing her age. This was posted back in March of this year.
Head over to Happy to Design and visit Chari and the other sites that have joined in. You should join in too.

My dog thinks I am the greatest hunter in the world. I am so amazing that I can bring in 4 different meats in one morning. I barely break a sweat doing it either. No running, no chasing, no taking out the weakest member of the herd.

I just leave the house as usual and when I come back I have beef, chicken, pork, fish. Her nose goes crazy following me from the garage to the kitchen. She must dream about the chase. Her feet are running in her sleep. Little yelps come from her. I bet she is helping bring down our prey. No wonder I am the leader of this pack. I am the Great One.

  1. I adoped two dogs many years ago. Both were 10 years old and sweet. The boy dog looked just like your sweetie here. An old man had owned the dogs...I had to change this ones name to Blackie, just in case I might need to call to him outside sometime. He was a good old dog.

  2. What a cute post! You do wonder what goes through their minds when we do all of our routine human things don't you? Such a cute dog, look at those eyes. Have a great Sunday. Kathy

  4. Hahaha... love it! Your dog is adorable -- the snow on the nose is just the perfect accessory. And yes, our dogs DO think we are gods -- we can summon food, and also get into that enchanted box in the kitchen .. the fridge!

Plus we teleport. We put them on a seat in another box. . . they go to sleep, and when they wake up, we are in an entirely different place. Can you imagine how mysterious car travel is to a dog?

  5. Imagine if she was a devoted cat. She'd present you with a delightful mix of cave cricket parts, hairball vomit and string.
    I heart my kitties. [gag]

  10. I love these stories about your dogs. I never thought that our dogs may think we're coming back from a hunt when we bring in the food. That's pretty funny. Some one needs to have a party about our pets. I forgot about Mr Linky last night and just remembered to link up tonight before midnight!!!
