A PROUD DAY IN CANADA...AND EVERYWHERE

This is a great news story I just had to share. In the province of Nova Scotia a grade 9 boy wore a pink polo shirt on the first day of school. A couple of bullies started in on him calling him homosexual (probably not the word they used) and threatened to beat him up.
Two wonderful young seniors in the school heard about this and went out and bought 50 pink shirts of different types. They launched an email campaign through their friends and a ton of students showed up wearing pink the next day. Some were in pink from head to toe. Guys and girls. So proud, so proud. There is hope for this world after all.

  2. What a great story! I just love this, there really is hope isn't there? Reminds me of the "band nerd" girl who was jumped by 2 thugs and beat the crap out of them with her drum major baton. Don't mess with band kids or seniors who have a social conscience! Thanks for stopping by, technically Asleep at the Wheel is classified as Texas Swing, not country, but I split hairs. Did you listen to the Marcia Ball? More boogie woogie. And of course I have to agree that Stevie rocks! Kathy

  3. I heard a blip on the tube tonight that that world wide DNA study is complete and going to be aired in the near future. I'll try to catch the when and where.
