HOORAY FOR B.C.

This is a long weekend in British Columbia. We are celebrating B.C. Day. Nothing really big to celebrate, not an anniversary date or anything like that just a day to celebrate the province of British Columbia.
It gives us a long weekend in August so who's gonna complain.
I don't know if this is true or not but it was written in a Vernon newspaper. His name is Glenn Mitchell and credited this info to Wikepedia.
Ah, our flag.
You know: The flag of British Columbia, Canada is based upon the shield of the provincial arms of British Columbia. At the top of the flag is a rendition of the Union Flag, defaced in the centre by a crown, representing the province’s origins as a British colony, with a setting sun below.
He also states:
Apparently it was introduced on June 14, 1960 by Premier W.A.C. Bennett, Wikipedia further states. And, also, apparently, the four wavy white and three wavy blue lines symbolize the province’s location between the Pacific Ocean and the Rocky Mountains. And furthermore, the setting sun represents the fact that B.C. is the westernmost province.

Well I do know that means the coffee shop will open at 9:00 this morning instead of 7:00. That also means this is all I am posting until I get my coffee. Well okay I will post one more item before I go.
