TABLESCAPE THURSDAY

Tablescape Thursday is hosted by Susan @ Between Naps on the Porch. And what a porch it is. Oh my it is beautiful. The table settings are art. Visit Susan and the others who have joined in and enjoy the art of Tablescaping.

I did it, I did it. I finally had a table set for Tablescape Thursday. The funny thing is I am not cooking dinner tonight. I guess I could fill the bowls with popcorn. It wouldn't be the first time I had popcorn for dinner.

We can play a game from Sesame Street here. One of these things is not like the others, one of these things is kinda the same.
The chargers and the dishes all came from Home Sense which for you guys would be TJ Maxx. The sugar tin has such a great patina on it but really it was bought several years ago at a liquidation store and it is not antique. The cutlery was my mother's and is the South Seas pattern. It is older than I am. The funny thing is my mother in law has the same set.

    Lori--You can put popcorn in it and it will still be lovely! I love it. That is so neat that your mom and MIL had the same flatware!

    Lori, I lived on popcorn in college! LOL! Pop up some Orville Redenbacher, and I will be right there!!!

    Loved your table, and you did a great job on it! The dishes look so festive and pretty. And I have flatware that is old as my mother, too... actually my grandmother. LOL!

    I was interested to see what your version of Home Goods is. Don't you love it? I cannot resist good value at good prices!

    What pretty dishes! Terrific colours in them and the chargers match wonderfully. Candles at each place setting creates such a nice glow.

    Too pretty just for popcorn unless you were to add some chocolate in with the popcorn:) I love those plates and I like Seasame Street too:)

    You have the prettiest wood table! And everything else is pretty as well. Oh, my daughters grew up on Sesame Street. They're in their thirties now. (Do they still have Sesame Street, I wonder?)

    Well no one noticed why I made the Sesame Street reference. One of these things is not like the others....The bowl on the end setting is 3 times as big as the other bowls because I could only get 4 not the 6 I needed. Should have kept my mouth shut and no one would notice.

    Great tablescape and beautiful dishes! Love the sesame S. reference. My girls are in their twenty's and we still say stuff from SS when they were little...."Oh..would you like to buy an O,circular and sweet?"

    OH yes -- I got it! the bigger bowl on the end! Ah, too much Sesame Street for me -- it debuted my senior year in high school; we used to watch it in the senior lounge before classes.

    GORGEOUS dishes -- I never find anything that pretty at TJ Maxx.... dang. Guess I need to keep looking.

    And you could fill those bowls with popcorn, pretzels, chips, bird seed, or packing peanuts, and it would still be a gorgeous table!
