MY EVERYDAY GETAWAY

Welcome to my coffee group. Many of you have heard me talk about my weekday morning ritual. 7:00 a.m. Monday to Friday.

See that corner seat on the bench? That is my seat. No body sits in my seat. Nobody, do you hear me. We take up half the coffee shop some mornings.

The other thing they serve here besides baked goods like cranberry muffins, lemon loaf etc. is a tangy, non fat frozen yogurt. They have so many healthy fruit topping but you can also get Oreo cookie crumbs, gummy bears, M & Ms. They have a vanilla yogurt and a cappuccino one too. This yogurt fruit mix can also be mixed up into a smoothy.

I think I will have the cappuccino one for breakfast today. It is non fat remember. At about 100 calories it is better for you than a muffin or a bagel. Besides I have a sore throat from my allergies remember. I need to soothe my throat. Add to that my large, dark roast, black coffee and I just might make it today.

  1. Lori,

This sounds like Heaven. Great coffee, goodies, friends, conversation. You sure know how to start your day off right!!

I hope your throat feels better. I think I am finally getting over some of my spring allergies (hopefully).

Enjoy your weekend, my friend! :-)

    xoxo

  4. I wish I could have a seat there. Don't you ever just want a bagel with cream cheese or a nice big muffin? I am weak. Very weak. I would have to drink diet coke though, because I hate coffee.

  5. MOB: It was either get out of the house at that time 5 years ago or fight with a teenager to get out the door for school. I chose to leave and let my husband deal with it.

Sue/Lucy: Oh I often have the muffins. They have lovely teas too. I will save you a seat...just not my spot.

  6. Such a great idea Lori. Have to seriously consider talking a couple of friends into such a thing. Mind you times are tight and it might be a hard sell right now...

  7. I have never had a coffee group. I think it wonderful. Every day of the week to meet and talk things out. I tend to do that at night, with my next door neighbor and a glass of something.
