GARDENING: Get A Room

I was in the garden taking pictures of my poppies for a later post when what did my eyes see...it was an orgy on my poppies. These guys (and gals I presume) were everywhere. They didn't seem to be eating any of the plants. Just mating. Everywhere I looked there they were. I finally had to walk away, after taking a picture of course. Just a little Bow chicka wow wow for your Monday.
Can any of you guess what this plant below is? Yes I do know I just want to see if you guys do.
I know I am in British Columbia but it isn't marijuana. It will have some interesting "blooms" on it in a little while. Come on guess. Or I am sure one of you super gardeners out there already knows what it is.

  2. Stink bugs eh? No wonder with all the fooling around they have been doing.
    Not a currant though.

  4. One beer for the lucky (cheater) lady who works in a garden centre. Now what can you tell me about those stinkin bugs?

  6. We call what those beetles are doing "copulating." Doesn't that sound more discreet???? LOL

    I didn't know hop leaves were in threes - - -

  7. Since I'm from the states, I guess I was hoping it WAS marijuana and then I could come for a visit! Wait, I didn't just say that, did I????

  8. Sue: Oh sure now that Jen gave a hint. If you want Rickards you will have to come here and get it.

Keetha: Let me assure you these little bug(gers) were definitely not being discreet.

Lindalee: You are the one that can get a lawyer cheap. Sounds like one of these days you might need one.

  9. I was going to guess poison ivy crossed with lemon balm, both plants I hate.

  10. That's funny! LOL! Don't know what those plants are but the leaves look similar to poison ivy...Christine

  11. Greta: I hate that lemon balm. It seemed like a good idea at the time but I have been pulling it up for years now.

Xinex: Leaves of 3 let it be... no not poison ivy.

  12. Oh man... Get a room, you little buggers! I gather from comments that your mystery plant is hops? Cool. That's probably what my husband would choose to plant if he had any say in the matter. :-)

  13. Hops! You lucky thing growing hops! We are waaay too south for those - but should I ever move up that way - I'm growing me some for sure!

Hey nice bug kanoodling. Watch that be a married bug & his wife gets wind of this picture.

  14. Cass: I don't think my husband even knows it is there. Not much of a gardener. I should hang beer bottles from it this summer.
Jane: I guess I will be having Maury Povich in my back yard any day now doing paternity testing.
